CHRISTMAS IN MARINETTE
Please join the City of Marinette, Marinette Welcome
Center, Marinette Fire Department, Marinette Businesses and
the Stephenson Public Library as we celebrate our Annual
Christmas in Marinette Parade and traveling Open House
events!
Each year we hold various activities throughout the day
such as:
Bay Cities Multi Media Center’s Annual Christmas
Holiday Craft Show which includes a myriad of vendors/
crafters. Music and entertainment is also held throughout the
day from students of all ages.
The Marinette Fire Department holds their open house
with tours, refreshments, treats, and a visit from Santa prior
to the parade.
The Christmas Parade begins at 1pm traveling down
Main Street to Liberty Street. There is NO FEE to participate
in the parade, all are welcome!
Join Santa at the Stephenson Public Library directly
after the parade. Santa will be there to meet the children, visit,
and read to the children. Children and adults can make a craft,
have refreshments, and enjoy other local performances.
The Marinette Welcome Center also hosts its annual open
house with music, refreshments, giveaways, carriage rides and
pictures.
CHRISTMAS
Also…local businesses, non-profits, churches, youth
groups and schools participate in the adopt-a-tree on
Stephenson Island. Adopted trees are decorated for the
holiday season with the official lighting of the trees held at
4:30 pm. Santa, Mayor Genisot, and the Salvation Army lead
the community with carols and the official ringing of the bells
signaling the holiday season. Those who decorate trees are
judged and win the traveling trophy for the year.
