Don’t return for your mother’s
burial, cleric warns Nnamdi Kanu
By Nwabueze
ONITSHA—ONE of
Igbo clerics, who
claimed to be fighting
spiritually for the
restoration of sovereign
State of Biafra, Bishop
Abraham Udeh, has
advised the leader of
Indigenous People of
Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi
Kanu, not to return home
for the burial of his mother
or else he would be rearrested
and hounded into
prison without fair trial.
He said he saw in the
spiritual realm where Kanu
returned and was rearrested,
warning that it
would amount to a
grievous mistake and a
suicide mission for Kanu to
come home in the name of
his mother’s burial, after
narrowly escaping barely a
year ago.
Bishop Udeh, General
Overseer of Mount Zion
Faith Global Liberation
Ministries Inc. a.k.a. By
Fire By Fire, Nnewi,
Anambra State, told
newsmen in his cathedral
that he also saw in the
spiritual realm that plans
were being made to lure
Kanu back to Nigeria
through diverse means by
those he called “his
pursuers,” to send him back
to prison.
He told Kanu not to
listen to them, because his
safety was not guaranteed
if he returns to Nigeria,
adding that Kanu has other
siblings that could represent
him at the burial ceremony.
He appealed to South-
East governors to rally
round Kanu so as to give
his late mother a state
burial, adding that it would
be unfair if the South-East
governors distanced
themselves from the burial
arrangements and failed to
play active role as they are
expected to do.
Bishop Udeh
contended that no matter
the differences between the
IPOB leader and the
governors, it would amount
to failure of responsibility
for the governors, the
leadership of Ohanaeze
Ndigbo and other Igbo
leaders if they fail to give
Kanu’s mother a befitting
burial.
On a President of Igbo
extraction, the cleric said:
“If they can allow an Igbo
man to lead this country at
least for eight years,
Nigeria will indeed be the
VICE
presidential
candidate of Peoples
Democratic Party, PDP, and
the former governor of
Anambra State, Mr. Peter
Obi, has decried the
continued castigation of
Nigerian youths, insisting
that what they need most
is support.
Obi was speaking,
yesterday, at the African
Economic Congress at
Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja.
Answering questions
from youths and young
entrepreneurs, Obi said
due to the cumulative
Japan of Africa.
“The Igbo man is full of
ingenuity. They are
number one in Nigeria in
that regard.”
... as IPOB alleges
renewed threats
by MACBAN
Meanwhile, IPOB,
yesterday, alleged that the
Miyetti Allah Cattle
Breeders Association of
Nigeria, MACBAN, has
resumed its threat and
terror activities against the
people of South-East, with
the movement of cattle to
farms and villages.
IPOB, in a statement by
it’s Media and Publicity
Secretary, Emma Powerful,
effects of bad leadership,
basic things that would aid
the young ones to succeed
were absent in Nigeria,
thus forcing Nigerians to
seek greener pastures in
other countries.
On the need for the youth
to remain focused, Obi said
it is an attitude they must
cultivate as one of the
factors for success.
In his words: “Remain
focused at all times, even
when the combination of
economic, social and
political factors are pushing
you towards failure. Do not,
warned that it will not
tolerate any kind of threat
against Biafrans in any
guise, including movement
of cattle in farmlands and
villages in Biafranland.
IPOB alleged that the
South-East governors and
political leaders have
compromised their
positions and sold their
people out for crumbs to
impress MACBAN patrons
and sponsors, “who they
think will guarantee their
positions.”
He added that selling out
their people for political
gains and positions is the
reason MACBAN
members are threatening
the people of South-East.
