RoHS Pb Greentube SL1002 Series <strong>Gas</strong> Plasma Arresters<br />

The Broadband Optimized SL1002 series has been especially<br />

developed for use in broadband equipment. Unique design features<br />

offer high levels of performance on fast rising transients in<br />

the domain of 100V/µS to 1KV/µS, which are those most likely<br />

from induced Lightning disturbances. These devices have Ultra<br />

low capacitance (typically 1.2pF or less) and present insignificant<br />

signal losses up to 1.5GHz. These devices are extremely robust<br />

and are able to divert a 5000A pulse without destruction. For AC<br />

Power Cross of long duration, overcurrent protection is recommended.<br />

transients in the domain of 100V/µS to 1KV/µS, which are<br />

those most likely from induced Lightning disturbances. The<br />

SL1021A series also features ultra low capacitance (typically 1pF<br />

or less) and optimised internal geometry which provides low<br />

insertion loss at high frequencies, so are ideal for the protection<br />

of broadband equipment. These devices are extremely robust<br />

and are able to divert a 10,000Amp pulse without destruction.<br />

The SL1024B series offers high levels of current handling on fast<br />

rising transients created by induced Lightning disturbances.<br />

These devices are extremely robust and are able to divert pulses<br />

Greentube SL1122A Series Hybrid <strong>Gas</strong> Plasma Arresters<br />

The SL1122 series Hybrid features a high performance Alpha <strong>Gas</strong><br />

Plasma Tube in conjunction with a high speed Silicon Avalanche<br />

Diode ( SAD ). These devices are matched so that High speed<br />

pulses are initially clamped by the SAD, then as the current rises,<br />

the transient energy is switched through the <strong>Gas</strong> Tube. The<br />

Hybrid offers high levels of performance on fast rising transients<br />

in the domain of 100V/µS to 10 KV/µS, so eliminates the dv/dt<br />

switching delay normally exhibited by standard GDT’s. These<br />

devices are extremely robust and are able to divert a 10,000Amp<br />

pulse without destruction, so are ideal for central office ( telephone<br />

exchange ) protection.<br />

Greentube SL1026 Series <strong>Gas</strong> Plasma Arresters<br />

The SL1026 series is a heavy-duty transient suppresser using <strong>Gas</strong><br />

Plasma technology. In response to a transient voltage which<br />

exceeds the fixed breakover voltage (selected according to part<br />

number) the device changes from a very high impedance state to<br />

a low impedance state, there by conducting harmful current<br />

away from the protected system. The design is optimized for the<br />

protection of electrical and electronic equipment employed in<br />

Railway systems: carefully designed geometry ensures the device<br />

does not become a short circuit in the event of a failure due to<br />

conditions and events beyond the design criteria. An electrical<br />

mounting clip (PN SL1053 ) is available to aid mounting and connection.<br />

A mounting plate (PN SL 1056) is also available which<br />

accepts 10 SL1053’s. Mounting of the clips to the plate provides a<br />

common ground connection; the plate can then be connected to<br />

a suitable ground via the screw terminal.<br />
