input. This survey has been drafted to get feedback from<br />

the general public but getting feedback from the business<br />

sector is also a priority.<br />

A cannabis consumption cafe would permit adults to<br />

in house) in a social setting. Farm tours and tastings are<br />

In many galleries a work of art is<br />

displayed and a small card is stuck<br />

In the case of Word, the newest<br />

exhibition showcased at Touchstones<br />

<strong>Nelson</strong>: Museum of Art and History,<br />

2019-10-17 Under the Water Sustainability Act<br />

Section 11, <strong>Salmo</strong> Watershed Streamkeepers Society intends<br />

to perform habitat enhancement in the <strong>Salmo</strong> River downstream<br />

of the Village of Ymir (file number 40076<strong>12</strong>). There are<br />

two intended Fish Habitat Enhancement Projects:<br />

1) Quartz <strong>–</strong> Oscar Creek Restoration<br />

Uses three types of enhancement structures: lateral log<br />

structures, boulder clusters, and 2 triangular structures.<br />

Beginning 30m downstream of Quartz Creek and concluding<br />

50m upstream of Oscar Creek, extending a total of<br />

approximately 300m.<br />

2) Burgess Side Channel Restoration<br />

Reopening a 150m historical side channel and performing<br />

bank stabilization. Bank stabilization beginning<br />

approximately 30m downstream of the outlet of the side<br />

channel. To protect the bank from eroding into the rail<br />

trail and provide additional complexing to fish habitat,<br />

bank stabilization will consist of riprap in conjunction with<br />

triangular fish enhancement structures. An upstream debris<br />

catcher will also perform fish habitat complexing and slow<br />

the erosive capacity of spring run-off waters.<br />

art allows for limitless iterations of<br />

expression via myriad disciplines,<br />

aesthetics and artistic interpretations.<br />

The whimsical, playful mail-art<br />

movement, where outsider artists<br />

send and receive small-scale art<br />

pieces through the postal service, is<br />

where Calgary born artist Don Mabie<br />

lends his talent. After organizing<br />

dozens of mail-art exhibitions and<br />

participating in hundreds more, he<br />

curated Artist Trading Cards at the<br />

Alberta College of Art and Design,<br />

which spurred artist trading sessions<br />

that still occur today in cities around<br />

North America, Europe and Australia.<br />

The artworks are the size of an<br />

average hockey card and are signed<br />

by the artist before being traded to<br />
