With the exception of the Gerald Hardy Memorial Society in Sheet<br />

Harbour, region two social enterprise operations are based in the<br />

Halifax, Dartmouth and Sackville area.<br />

Region two members operate a unique variety of social enterprises<br />

including cafe and catering operations, meeting room rentals,<br />

engraving and print shops, thrift operations, packaging and button<br />

making operations and a fully integrated wood operation linked to<br />

international markets.<br />

All region two social enterprises create positive spaces for<br />

participants with intellectual disabilities, mental health challenges<br />

and other barriers to employment to build skills and gain access to<br />

income generating opportunities. Profits generated from member<br />

social enterprises are reinvested locally by each agency to create<br />

more skill building and employment opportunities for the individuals<br />

we serve.<br />
