Joe Gagliardi, CEO of the Folsom 

Chamber of Commerce, 

was honored for his 25 years 

of service to the Greater Folsom 

Partnership and the community 

at a fun-filled celebration hosted at 

Julian’s Pâtisserie and Café. 

Folsom Auto Center changed 

ownership and is now Folsom 

Automotive Service. The new 

store is a “digital shop,” where technicians take photos to 

inspect vehicles—ensuring customers receive quality repairs. 

Additionally, warranties have increased to three years. 

The Placerville & Sacramento Valley Railroad, a nonprofit 

dedicated to preserving California’s railroad history, recently 

acquired a new locomotive. This was made possible due to 

generous donations from individuals, local businesses, and the 

Folsom, El Dorado & Sacramento Railroad Association. 

As part of an Eagle Scout project, Ryan Sumida is installing a 

granite path, building a bench, and painting the planter boxes 

for Golden Hills School’s gardening enrichment elective. 

The project will help the children to develop an appreciation 

for the outdoors. Stay tuned to see the finished product! 

Members of the Rotary Club of Historic Folsom participated 

in a Rise Against Hunger event where they packaged nearly 

30,000 meals, in cooperation with Folsom Lake Rotary, the 

Interact Club of Folsom High School, Rotary Club 

of Folsom, and numerous volunteers from Intel and the 

surrounding community.

The El Dorado Hills Town Center is hosting Community 

Performances from noon-3 p.m. on December 14 and 21

Chance’s Chicken is a new catering business in Folsom that 

specializes in mouthwatering comfort food, including fried 

jumbo chicken wings, mac & cheese, honey cornbread, and 

baked beans. 

If you’re thirsty for healthy teas and shakes in a bevy of 

flavors, including Watermelon Jolly Rancher, Blueberry 

Muffin, and Pumpkin Cheesecake, then swing by Folsom’s 

new smoothie and juice bar, Nourish, sited at 401 Glenn 

Drive in Folsom. 

Red Bus Brewing opened a new taproom at 815A Sutter 

Street. The Filling Station is modeled after a vintage gas 

station, and carries craft beer, bottles to go, small bites, and nonalcoholic 

drinks. 

Santa Monica-based business, Pressed Juicery, known for 

their cold-pressed juice, plant-based soft serve, and powerpacked 

shots, is opening early next year at Folsom’s Palladio at 

Broadstone.

My Trendy Trailer, owned by Karyss Bollen, who’s the 

designer and maker behind the brand’s stylish jewelry and 

other creative accessories, opened her first brick and mortar 

at 307 Riley Street in Folsom. 

Local retailer Miosa Bride is slated to fill a 5,300-squarefoot 

space between MAC and Torrid at Folsom’s Palladio at 

Broadstone. The shop is expected to open next month and will 

offer a wide range of beautiful designer wedding dresses and 

one-on-one appointments.

The Painted Cork in Folsom hosts Open Studio

You know the saying, “Life is 

short, eat dessert first”? Well, 

my 10-year-old daughter and I 

did just that, and it was a great 

parenting decision. Who needs 

dinner when you can go to 

Handel’s? Here’s the “scoop” 

on Folsom’s latest sweet spot:
