Trend Privé Magazine 5

A word from the Directors...

Trend Privé Magazine, the most prominent sustainable luxury magazine on the market, was

created as a humanitarian lifestyle publication in 2013. With stunning editorials, a passionate staff

of writers and a strong foothold in the industry, TPM has helped pave the way for sustainable

fashion to have a voice heard by an audience larger than the already converted. The aim of TPM

has always been to speak to those who perhaps didn’t see Eco as an option that held style or

substance, and has given them reason to believe that it does.

Fast forward a few years and sustainable fashion is finally catching up. The missing pieces are

still great photography and a bridge to the mainstream audience. It is the positioning that TPM

already has that is allowing it to turn its voice into a powerhouse of inspiration for the conscious,

discerning, fashion forward person.

Our 2019/20 First Annual Wedding Issue is here! We couldn’t be more thrilled. Adri and I

recently took over the reigns of the magazine we helped to build, and one of the things we’ve

always wanted to do was to put the fashion forward voice of TPM into bridal. We love weddings

(who doesn’t) but we feel like there isn’t enough representation out there for brides who want to

be inspired by a luxury wedding with a sustainable and ethical foundation. YES it IS possible,

with a little bit of inspiration! An eco-wedding doesn’t have to be boho... but we do that well too.

We are a magazine with a new approach and we want to offer brides what other periodicals don’t.

This particular issue will be used around the world as an evergreen Eco Wedding ‘handbook’.

TPM is an international print and web based magazine whose team of writers and photographers

are global. Providing top shelf content, we are evolving the fashion and lifestyle industry to align

with many causes, from sustainable practices to conscious choices, actively donating partial

proceeds from the magazine’s success to various charities. At the same time we devote our

network to finding and featuring brands and stories that align with our principles. Trend Privé

intends to drive this forward thinking approach through to see the eco movement to find success

not “in spite of” but because of this value.

Welcome to the Trend Privé Wedding Issue.

Have Your Cake

London’s Luminary Bakery Offers More Than

Delicious, Beautiful Weddings Cakes

By Pauline Matterson

Trend Privé Magazine 10

Cakes are the pièce de résistance of any wedding reception. They need to be beautiful for

photos and delicious for your guests to eat. They should also represent your personalities and

reflect the love and romance of the occasion. Luminary Bakery does all that and adds another

layer of extra special to your cake.

Luminary is a social enterprise bakery, providing training, support and encouragement to

women who have experienced social and economic disadvantage. Their mission is to

encourage ambition, restoration and second chances in a safe and professional environment.

The bakery does this through courses, work experience and paid employment within their

two café-bakery locations: their first location in Hackney and their newly opened location in

Camden.

Trend Prive is not the only fan of this organization. A certain member of the British Royal

Family also supports this cause, as seen on her social media and during her appointment

guest editing a mainstream fashion magazine. As a humanitarian magazine, TPM

completely understands why these cakes and this cause are fit for a princess. We have a lot of

love for their empowerment of women and Luminary Bakery’s use of “baking as a tool to take

women on a journey to employability and entrepreneurship.”

Trend Privé Magazine 11

As of August 2019, Luminary Ltd has:

Supported 66 women to graduate their programme

Awarded 85 accredited certificates to these women

Provided 233 days of training

Supported 25 women into work

Assisted 10 women to start their own business

Order your custom cake and baked goods at

https://www.luminarybakery.com/event-orders

The Perfect Wedding Favour or Attendent Gift:

Cookies for Occasions

By Pauline Matterson

TPM has sought out the professional baking skills of Caroline at The Kitsch-Hen, a UK biscuit company

creating customized biscuits, to find out all the many ways we can use edible favours as wedding

décor items. We say it’s for research and the sake of being eco-lux but really, who doesn’t love yummy

cookies?

Edible details add a personal touch to any of your wedding events from favours to save-the-dates and

even edible invitations (fear not, The Kitsch-Hen includes a postcard with all the details for the last

two).

“We can stamp any message on a wedding favour biscuit – often it’s the bride and

grooms’ names and the wedding date, a little message of love like ‘Happily Ever

After’ or ‘Best Day Ever’ or combining favours and place settings in one with each

biscuit stamped with the guest’s name.”

One sweet moment made even sweeter is the asking of dear friends and family members to be part of

the bridal party. Your bridesmaids and flower girls are sure to say yes when asked by way of a box of

iced biscuits.

“The true joy of what I do is in the biscuits I send out to give someone a bit of edible

inspiration, sent to make them smile.”

Afternoon tea bridal shower with quaint biscuit favours? Don’t mind if I do!

Engagement parties and place settings? Positively decadent!

The Kitsch-Hen will work with you to create your very own message and flavour combinations. Contact

Caroline at hello@the-kitsch-hen.co.uk or visit www.the-kitsch-hen.co.uk to order your personalized

biscuits and for a sample box.

Trend Privé Magazine 14

“Our mission is simple – we

want to spread a little bit of

love and brighten people’s

day’s right across the country,

and what better way to do it

than with a biscuit!”

EDDING

Inspiration

Trend Privé Magazine 18

We have compiled a collection of weddings via “Making Happy Memories”, a wedding

coordination company in Greece, to inspire looks for your big day and show that Eco

doesn’t mean granola unless you want it to. With the number of sustainable and ethical

wedding services on the market now, there is no reason not to have a stunning bouquet,

tablescape, feast, ceremony, venue and more that keep your standards high and your

footpriint low.

When one thinks of luxury weddings of the past, the more on more approach was key. In

today’s world that looks an awful lot like showing off, but if you are of the opinion that the

MOST is better, all it takes is multiplication of stuff. You are more than welcome to do that

even while keeping your wedding Eco, just be conscious about where that “stuff ” comes

from and where it’s going to go after. Look for organic flowers and food, re-useable, spaces

that serve multiple functions or are close together, decor that is either rented or can be

passed along after the event... the concept is really all about being aware of your choices.

AB

Trend Privé Magazine 19

#ECOTIP

Find a location that is beautiful on

its own! We didn’t say fancy or huge.

We said beautiful. Often the most

beautiful settings are those that are

simple but unique. Find something

that speaks to you and you won’t

need to cover it in a lot of “stuff” to

make an impact. Just be mindful of

how you use the space.

Trend Privé Magazine 20

Trend Privé Magazine 21

#ECOTIP

Use flowers that are IN SEASON in your

area (or in the area of your destination) to

keep your footprint low. Using flowers that

look natural to the area, even the most

fabulous ones, will keep the event from

looking ‘plastic’, it will keep the flowers

from having to travel, and you will likely be

able to find them from an organic grower!

#ECOTIP

Create “statement pieces” instead

of overwhelming the space with so

much decor that you can’t see the

proverbial forest for the trees. If

you are looking at a luxury wedding,

what stands out is the quality over

the quantity. If you are able to

secure a space that is breathtaking,

find a few ideas that will let people

know that for the day it is also a

place of celebration, but don’t try to

compete with perfection. Just

enhance what is there and bring a

few touches in that say that for the

day (or weekend) its all about you.

Decoding Colour

There is a language in colour, and what we choose to represent us on our day says a lot about us that

perhaps we may not realize. Everyone knows that one of the first things you do when planning a

wedding, is to pick a colour scheme (or a non colour scheme) and work everytthing around that. We

typically pick our favourite colours, but it may be helpful to know that what you choose will affect the

vibe of the day, so keep these moods in mind.

A bright colour like orange paired with pale blue reads as friendly and open. Guests are more likely to be

carefree and chatty and open with each other. Good if your guest don’t all know each other well.

A colour like hot pink says fun in any language, but be sure to pair it with greenery to keep it fresh and

not plastic looking. Using multiple shades of an intense colour gives a stunning effect. Don’t do mono.

Dark and moody backdrops allow white details to show and shine. This gives a sophisticated and

trendy look and creates a more refined mood. The Calligraphy in this example is fun and modern to

balance out the sobriety of a darker scheme.

Jewel and earthy tones allow for a rich feel but keeps things very emotionally engaged. We all feel

better surrounded by nature and dark greens. Rich warm tones and sultry blue shades will create a

feeling of depth and spirit, which creates an air of mystery. If you want a true fairytale wedding, opt

for jewels over pink fluffy clouds. This is where the unicorns actually reside.

EDITOR”S CHOICE

The calligraphy of Ariana Martin

of BLUSH CALLIGRAPHY

It’s no secret that one of the hottest wedding trends

of the moment, and the last few moments, is

calligraphy and hand lettering. There are a lot of

fonts now that mimic hand lettering and can be

used in printed products, but nothing says luxe like

made by hand. Find a calligrapher in your area to

hand address envelopes, menues, place cards and

more. It’s a small detail that says a whole awful lot.

Lay Of The Table

Lay London offers clients a new and inspired way to set

a table, with a nod to an eco ethos.

by Pauline Matterson

Trend Privé Magazine 34

In the lead up to your big day, it’s likely you’ll have many other celebrations and events to

host. Party supply rentals are a great way to add an elegant eco-touch to each of these affairs.

A company such as Lay London Ltd - London’s first tablescape rental service - curates

tableware that includes bold colours and whimsical touches.

Trend Privé Magazine 35

Our favourite part of hiring from Lay London, along with their fun and

colourful tableware, is their eco ethos of:

“Ditch those disposables! LAY follows the mantra of waste not, want

not. Novelty items and cheap-as-chips tableware aren’t so fun when

they end up in the bin. For your event, LAY provides beautifully crafted

tableware for one-time-only – without any of the guilt!”

Trend Privé Magazine 36

We can picture Mexican-themed engagement parties with their Fiesta Miranda or

afternoon tea bridal shower with their Earl Grey set up. Bring the garden party indoors with

an English Garden tablescape.

LAY London looks are available to hire online exclusively in London via

www.laylondon.com (Launch date December 2019)

Talking With

Leila Hafzi

Interview by Sonya Vajifdar

ARIA gown by Leila Hafzi

SV Why did you decide to start making ethical

wedding gowns and when did you start your journey?

LH I started producing sustainable collections in

natural fabrics in Nepal in 1998. Meeting the

poverty in the Himalayan kingdom got me into the

idea of designing clothes that could employ more

women and thus be a generator for empowering

women in the industry. I went into designing

wedding collections in 2009 after years into the

green carpet movement.

SV What are the fabrics you use to create your

gowns?

LH We use only 100% silk. Mainly creped chiffon

and organza with elements of hand embroidered

silk on chiffon.

SV What are the sustainable methods you use in

production?

LH We practice closed circuit water management,

sustainable colors, natural fibres, empowering

women into labour women crafters.

OLAVA gown by Leila Hafzi

SV Which are your favorite pieces from your collection and why ?

LH I would say Rosah and Olava, as they represent best the soul of the new

collection “TI AMO”, whose ruffles and frills are inspired by my baby

daughter. I also love Florina, since flowers are iconic for the brand: they are a

leitmotiv present in every collection.

SV Have any celebrity brides worn your outfits ?

LH We have few celebrity brides in Norway as Maria Skappel Holsweiler,

Katarina Flatland where we both made couture project and Anna Getty in the

US. As far as the cocktail collection is concerned, Mette-Marit Crown Princess

of Norway, Livia Firth and Kylie Minogue have chosen to wear one of my

outfits… just to mention few names.

SV Any future plans for your company ?

LH Continue to make beautiful gowns with the core purpose of taking care

of the environment into the production cycle.

L Wear Your

ove

Dresses so soft and dreamy, they beg to be worn.

The Wear Your Love bride embodies

effortless beauty and femininity, in a

classic and understated way. She wants

all of the romance, and all of the joy of

getting married, without compromising

her individual style or her comfort. A

laid-back natural beauty with poise, and

of course, a free spirit.

Wear Your Love infuses the bridal

experience with the new-paradigm ideals

of ease, convenience, uniqueness, quality,

and ecological-consciousness.

Wholeheartedly embracing the wedding

renaissance that has opened the door to

ceremonies and receptions that embody

the personality and one-of-a-kind nature

of each couple, they dedicate themselves

to not only the beauty, but also the

comfort of their brides, lining their

dresses in luxurious organic cotton or

silky soft bamboo, so lush to the skin

you’ll never want to wear anything else.

Each gown is made to the exact

measurements of each individual bride,

for a fit that feels so good, you’ll never

want to take off your Wear Your Love

gown.

Trend Privé Magazine 87

A word from the designer:

From my earliest bridal daydreams I envisioned my wedding as the entwinement of

sacred, intimate and soul-connecting ceremony, with ravishing celebration in kickyour-heels-up

and shout-from-the-rooftop style. Inspired by brilliantly romantic

young loves I dreamed of a wedding that would in some magical way express the

rhapsody of experiencing true and unbound love. In the glorious profundity of nature

and in the farthest reaches of vividly imagined fantasy, my creative essence came to

life in my wedding visions and I imagined a bridal style that embodies the spirit of the

mermaid, the goddess, and the nymph, with effortless femininity.

After years of being maid-of-honor and bridesmaid, I discovered that there is a major

obstacle standing between the euphoric free-spirited wedding celebration I had in

mind and the reality for most brides: the traditional wedding dress. That stiff look that

has come to dominate the bridal shop appointments and endless fittings, is unforgivably

miserable to wear. How is a woman supposed to hold and be held, dance and

laugh, kick her heels up, and shout from the roof; how is she supposed to feel at home

beside her partner, and embody her most elegant beauty, when she doesn’t feel like

herself in her wedding dress?

What I seek to share with brides everywhere is a vision of weddings that centers

around a bride who feels her most amazing. She has the freedom to dance, laugh, eat,

drink and be blissfully happy. She is present, buoyant, and at ease as she embarks on

her path with her partner. She gracefully dances through each moment as she creates

forever-memories with the person she wants to hold and be held by, the person she is

absolutely at home beside, with full abandon, bliss, and joy.

With emphasis on beautifully wearable organic and luxury fabrics, I have created

Wear Your Love, a collection of bridal styles that ring true to the pure joy of getting

married. Leaving the clasps, buttons, zippers, and boning behind, each dress is perfectly

stretchy, for a body-hugging experience of essential comfort. Each style is created

with the laughter, sensuality, and magnificence of young love, mad love, soul-mated,

and epic love in mind.

... And because nature is my greatest inspiration (as well as my first true love), most of

our dresses are made with a portion of eco-friendly and sustainable fabrics, like ultra

soft bamboo and lush organic cotton. I truly adore all things organic; as in, “of life”

and “free of the artificial”, just like Wear Your Love brides, and just like true love.

xoxo,

Jillian Leigh

Luisa

Via Roma

Trend Privé Magazine 101

They have advised us last June: LUISA VIA ROMA had been working on a new project

which would disrupt the bridal market.

The online giant knew there was a niche for bridal and couture. Its platform owns a big

data center which noticed the once again raising interest for this specific market.

Assuming there’s nothing impossible at LUISA VIA ROMA and with some of the most

relevant know-how and experience, the company started 6 months ago a journey across

the bridal couture industry.

A long and exciting journey full of a deep immersion into international collections,

contacts and exclusive synergies, that have been building an ambitious and unique

catalogue.

Trend Privé Magazine 102

Trend Privé Magazine 103

LUISA VIA ROMA owns a highly sought after online confidence based around

accurate and exclusive pieces and an exquisite customer journey which provides

one of the best shopping experiences.

The platform provides a healthy combination between the online and the offline.

And with this new project, LUISA VIA ROMA has also added a luxury plus: a

unique concierge service, personalised, which also connects customers with the

best ateliers. This specific signature is humanising the artisan work done at

ateliers. It offers not only visibility but also, a beautiful connection which will

help buyers to appreciate the local industries, while re-educating people to

discover the essence and art behind couture.

We cannot forget how stressful it can be getting into the adventure of finding

THE DRESS. And your search at LUISA VIA ROMA will be pleasant and, one

might even say, addictive. Once again, the platform has teamed up with new

iconic talents and Maisons that work to offer exclusive pieces and capsule

collections.

Partners in crime like Valentino, ASISH Studio, Sandra Mansour, Ewan Rose,

Magda Butrym, Giambattista Valli, Nike (yes darling, trainers are welcome) and

more, have developed an amazing collection that will inspire any of us -even if

you are not in the lineup to get married.

An amazing project lead by “Mister Buyer”, Silvano Vangi who possesses a

unique eye to rapidly find, in the midst of runways and showrooms, the most

inspiring designs.

EDITOR’S CHOICE

One might think that in bridal, all of the opportunities to make the BIGGEST

impact, would be in the yards and yards and layers and layers of frothy tulle

and silk brocade.

Not so.

It is our opinion that Studio Pia has uniquely cornered the luxury lingerie market

with her impeccable designs that are both incredibly artistic and fabulously

wearable. The epitome of a couture standard. It’s just extremely lucky for us that

it is also a fully and entirely sustainably and ethically produced collection.

It’s not often that a person knows their calling so early in life. But there is no

denying that Pia Conaghan is doing what she is meant to. Around here we

think we can call ourselves astute lingerie connoisseurs, and we are collectively

blown away at TPM. We all secretly covet the entire collection and we appreciate

every aspect, from the tiny bits that are created from ethically sourced 24kt

gold to the images on the site that tasetfully show off real, unedited bodies to

their most delicious form.

Pia has been quietly establishing herself at the heart of the luxury lingerie industry

since 2010. She completed her design BA at London College of Fashion,

and quickly worked her way to becoming the designer in charge at Bordelle,

where her creations were worn by the likes of Madonna, Beyonce and Britney

Spears. Consistently creating entirely never before seen applications of delicate

tulle, fantastical embroidery and hardware to keep all the bits together, we are

happily in constant wait for her new pieces, and are absurdly ardent of what we

already own.

An investment in true pampering for any bride, or honestly just any person

who wants to treat themselves like the Deity they truly are.

Atonement

By designer Haley Jaeger

For those looking to not only look uber chic and trendsetting in a carefree

and fabulous way, but also to create change and use their purchase to

provide opportunitiees for others, Atonement is a fantastic way to do both.

Founder Haley Jaeger (whose Real Wedding story is featured in Volume 1

of our Wedding Issue) speaks to us about Atonement’s beginnings, and the

journey since.

...accessories with style &

an ethical mission.

Trend Privé Magazine 143

Our ethical fashion is trendy, fashion-forward

and also works to change the horrendous dynamics

within the fashion industry. We carry

dresses helping women out of violent situations,

bags that eradicate poverty, and tops made in

ethically run factories that treat their employees

with dignity and respect. We also just launched

our own jewelry line that is employing women

after they’ve been rescued out of sex trafficking

in Cambodia.

Atonement Design is a company conceived out

of both passion and deep conviction. My love

for design intersected my conviction to practice

ethical consumerism and my company was born.

It is my mission to educate, inspire and fight

injustice that is rampant around the world,

specifically with women. It is our aim, as a

company, to set women free and put an end to

generational poverty. One way this can be

accomplished is by educating people to be

intentional about the clothes they choose to

purchase.

Trend Privé Magazine 145

Design came naturally to me. My visions of

working in fashion date back to my early teens.

While dreaming up my design company, simultaneously

I found myself in circles that

were discussing sex trafficking, modern-day

slavery and the poverty epidemic of developing

countries. This awareness left me heartbroken.

What I found unfathomable was that American

consumers were responsible for adding to this

problem. I couldn’t turn a blind eye any longer.

There are over 40 million people living in slavery

today; many of them are involved in labor trafficking

and work for pennies while corporations

reap the benefits.

Atonement Design is helping to chip

away at this problem. We made it our

goal to encourage women to rescue

other women around the world and

we invite you to join this fight. You

can choose to purchase products that

regulated to be as close to slavery-free

as possible.

I am so proud of what Atonement

Design has become and I’m even

more excited for what the future

holds for my company.

Together we can make a difference..

COVER STORY

ANDREA BELL

What could be more fabulous than turning tech “waste”

into gorgeous pieces of jewelry? That’s probably what

actress, musician, designer and new mother Nikki Reed

asked herself when she chose to collaborate with computer

giant Dell on an Eco collection of pretty things a

couple of years ago. Her company, Bayou With Love,

takes the gold used in processors and circuit boards

from old computers and upcycled it into extraordinary

yet understated treasures that makes it MUCH simpler

to justify a personal splurge.

Having said that, the price points for the baubles are

not only reasonable but also accessible which suggests

that the designer and makers are marketing at real

costs. Many companies will create a line that has pieces

that cost a fair spectrum to make, but in order to fit

into their demographic, they price the entire collection

at the top end, creating an inflation at the lower end

that leads to exclusivity. Even though Nikki is obviously

in a circle where both luxury pricing and exclusive privileges

would be not only acceptable, but also expected

and even encouraged, her line covers such a range that

really anyone could find a piece of their own to love. A

pair of earrings costing $178 doesn’t at all negate the

opulence of the $2980 White Sapphire Drop Earrings.

Mrs. Reed points out that while creating a line of jewelry

may not seem at first like the first step to sustainable

fashion, in fact our society’s obsession with having “the

latest” tech gadget means that over $60M in precious

metals are tossed into a landfill each year. Yes, that M

stands for million. And even though most composites

of phones and other tech are in fact highly re-useable

and recyclable, only 12% of electronics are recycled.

Visit the Bayou With Love site and peruse the always

growing collection of sustainable and ethical lifestyle

products that are shaping Nikki Reed’s life into somewhat

of an Eco icon’s.

EDITOR’S CHOICE

VALMONT

By Mabel Gago

www.valmontcosmetics.com

When talking about the cosmetic industry it is easy to get completely lost. If you filtered by

values, experiences and a responsible brand, what comes to mind in luxury circles is

VALMONT.

The family Guillon has been running this business for over 30 years with a high commitment:

help people to embrace their beauty and feel it.

At Valmont, innovation and design are also core values. Probably, a lot of this comes from

the Gullion’s artistic heritage. Its passion towards art has led the brand to create the Valmont

Foundation. A beautiful place to discover unique artists and a project to support new

contemporary talents.

Trend Privé Magazine 188

That helps to understand Valmont’s quote “When

art meets beauty”. And this is not only applied to

the Valmont Foundation but, also, to all their

design processes including the decoration of

their boutiques and maisons.

The Swiss heritage states the huge value of the

family. In terms of business this means more than

sharing a professional passion. Such

familiar structure helps to manage the growth

of the business and reinforces a self-loyalty

and confidence. Valmont does not look at what

others are doing. They firmly believe in what they

themselves do. The more they grow, the easier

is to get involved and engage all generations to

take part in this adventure.

“At Valmont, innovation

and design

are also core values.

Probably, a lot of

this comes from the

Gullions

artistic heritage.”

This engagement is not only related to Guillon’s

family. All employees at Valmont are proud of

belonging to this company. It is amazing see

Sophie Guillon knowing each of the names of her

people, from all around the world. This family

concept allows them also to work under a free

personal structure, with a strong stability,

capable to adapt the company quite fast.

At Valmont they do not like to talk about age. We

see people on their 60s who look younger and

people on their 20s who seem they did not pay to

much attention in adopting a healthier lifestyle.

For a bride, her skin is extremely important. And

Valmont dresses skin with beauty.

We have seen how during the last VALMONT

BARCELONA BRIDAL FASHION WEEK, the brand

has been supporting the beauty around brides.

Actually, Valmont provides beauty to everyone.

No matter what your age is and no matter if you

are a woman or a man.

Learning how to preserve and take care of our

skin is a great investment. Valmont designs all its

products taking into consideration the needs of

every customer. We would not be wrong if we

stated that Valmont could be considered as the

haute couture brand of the cosmetic industry.

And this is something which has been running

during these 30 years by educating all its team

and customers. This helps to bring unique

experiences through the products and all the

professionals.

This is why we used some of VALMONT’s top

products in our cover editorial with Nikki Reed.

Take note. If you want to feel radiant,

Your options are: skin care, makeup and a rare

fragrance so as to make your image indelible.

How to

Make Happy

Memories

Destination Weddings

in Greece

Whether a destination or your place of residence, Greece offers classic beauty that

is world renowned for being the kind of special that one looks for in their special

moments. We speak with Maria Travlou of Make Happy Memories, to get the inside

scoop on how to make your stay in Greece both ultra special and more conscious.

https://www.makehappymemories.com/

https://www.instagram.com/makehappymemories/

Trend Privé Magazine 201

1.How does MHM use local items to make

weddings special? Surely it’s not all Ouzo

and smashing plates!

The most important local item in Greece is its

wonderful landscapes. We are really lucky to

have everything in this country (olive groves,

sea views, Cycladic architectures, palaces,

tavernas, etc.). For this reason, we consider

these beautiful landscapes to be the best

ingredient of successful weddings in Greece!

When it comes to making a wedding

beautiful and special, we always get the

inspiration from the landscapes where the

wedding will take place. The key is we don’t try

to change a beautiful scenery, we just try to

improve it. This way, the couples save a lot of

money in decorations and other setup

materials that they don’t really need.

Here are the examples of how we do the

venue improvement. For olive groves, we just

hang fairy lights and string lights to make it

look more magical. For gardens, we just add

more flowers to make it more beautiful and

elegant.

Another notable local item (though not

literally) is the local entertainers and local

traditions. Since most of our clients are from

abroad, we really love seeing them being

entertained by local singers, dancers, and

teachers who share pieces of Greek traditions

through their performances!

Trend Privé Magazine 202

Aside from landscapes and the Greek

hospitality, we also maximize local items such

as olive oil and Greek spirits for

unforgettable wedding favors.

2) Any professional tips for menu

planning and vegan guests?

Another thing that sets Greece apart is its

verdant farms (the climate is perfect for

farming). We don’t import food from other

country because we already have everything

here! Besides, Greece is a haven for vegans

as we have a huge variety of organic fruits

and vegetables here.

So, for our weddings, we always suggest to

our couples that the menu be composed

of local, organic, and seasonal ingredients.

Depending on the couple’s chosen destination,

we will depend the menu on the local

ingredients that can be organically sourced

in their wedding destination. So for instance,

if the wedding is located in Santorini, we

ensure that cherry tomatoes and other local

ingredients of Santorini play a vital role in the

planning of menu.

Aside from the general destination itself,

we also consider the type or concept of the

venue to determine the best cuisines. If it’s a

beach venue, we encourage the couples to

include fish in the catering. Sourcing from

the local resources is not only cheaper, it’s

also a great way to make sure that the

cuisine ingredients are freshly and

deliciously served!

3) Weddings are extravagant and luxurious

affairs but at Trend Prive, we

know this doesn’t have to be wasteful!

Do you have tips and tricks you use to

be mindful of waste?

A great tip to a sustainable wedding is to

use what you already have! I know that

its cliché but this saying goes well with

everything I mentioned above. If a couple

wants to have a beautiful nature vibe for

their wedding, we bring them in the

outdoors and suggest landscapes such as

olive groves or a beach venues. Nature is

already beautiful so it doesn’t need crazy

expensive decorations to make a dream

wedding come true.

Once the couple has already chosen their

perfect venue, decide on a setup that can

be easily achieved through sourcing the

local market and resources. If it’s an island

wedding, take advantage of the surplus of

local florals such as bougainvillea and wild

flowers. If it’s a winter wedding, maximize

the seasonal ingredients in the best way

that you can! Pomegranates is plenty

during the winter season and aside from

being a flavorful menu ingredient, it can

also work as a beautiful decoration

contrast for your white wedding!

#ECOTIPS

1. Venue

Choose a magical landscape in the

secret destinations of Greece. This

will save a lot of “stuff ” because

you don’t have to purchase

decorations.

2. Menu

Select organic ingredients for

healthier cuisines and fresh

flavors.

3. Vegan

Here are the best ingredient

options that Greece is famous for,

for vegan guests (that even your

non-vegan guests will love): Fresh

Pasta, King Quinoa, Mushrooms,

Cherry Tomatoes, Greeneries,

Fava and Capar.

4. Vegan Dessert

Greece has a variety of fruit

options in every season of the

year! Just mix these fruits with

honey and they are good to go.

Finally, when compared to other local Wedding Planners in Greece, one of our biggest advantages is that we

specialize in Greece destination weddings and we deal almost exclusively with couples that choose us from

abroad, so we have experience dealing with the many challenges that rise with travelers that come for the

event and we provide many extra services targeted specifically for tourists.

We are taking care of all the details and removing all the stress that naturally comes when a couple makes

the exciting decision to get married abroad.

Our promise is to give you the best value for your money, to deliver a wonderful and unforgettable experience

for you and your guests, and to make sure you’ll get everything the “Weddings in Greece” experience

has to give to the highest standards of quality.”

I promise to bring you the lights from heaven

even if they are endless.

I will be a better person

without you asking me

I will water our garden every day

to see how the lilies

the roses and jasmine bloom.

I promise to immortalize

the dawn of your joy;

make our love

a free religion

outside of betrayal and heresy

I promise to be a good flower.

And even if I can’t promise you

absence of pain

I can promise to color it

I can promise my heart.
