• Tempting though it is to throw everything at the
tree, an elegant, unified look is best achieved
by limiting your colour palette to just a few
different, but co-ordinating, shades. The rest
can go back in the box for use in future years.
• Hang your nicest baubles around the middle
of the tree where they can be seen most
easily. If you need to pad them out with
cheaper or less interesting ones, hide these at
the bottom or at the sides.
Beautiful Baubles
• Larger baubles are best placed at the centre
of branches, where they will add depth, and
lower down on the tree. Smaller baubles can
go on the ends of branches and at the top.
• While you are hanging, stand back regularly
and assess how the tree as a whole is
looking. The aim is to spread your baubles
evenly around, from top to bottom, with a
pleasing variety of shapes and sizes.
