Keep calm and enjoy
the festive season!
Raring2go! spoke to Kim Woolner of Holding
Space to find out more about using Bach Flower
Remedies to help all the family enjoy
the next few months.
What are the Bach Flower
Remedies?
There are 38 individual remedies
and one ready-mixed one (Rescue
Remedy), which can help turn
negative feelings into positive
ones, healing any worries.
What can they be used for?
They can be used to treat children who
have everyday fears, daydreaming, self-esteem,
worries, sadness, self-acceptance, school issues or
behaviour problems, etc. For example, Mimulus
can be used to help children who fear the dark and
don’t want to go to bed – and Vervain for children
who are unable to sleep due to excitement
(roll on Christmas!).
How would my child take it?
For any treatment, give four drops of Bach flower
remedies four times a day. They can work quickly
but consistency is the key.
How long do they take to work?
Everyone responds differently but children tend to
respond quickly. Parents are often amazed by the
positive effects the Remedies have on their child’s
routine and behaviour.
How safe are they?
They can be used by babies, children, animals and
plants, as well as adults. Nothing will happen if
you give your child the “wrong” Remedy, the Bach
Flower Remedies are safe in all aspects and can be
used alongside medication.
Where can I get them?
Health shops sell some of the Remedies, as well
as some chemists. However, it is possible to mix
over 293,000,000 different combinations to match
a need. Each child is different and may respond
differently. If you are unsure what your child might
need, it is more cost effective to consider a Bach
Consultation and a personalised remedy mix as
treatment.
As a registered Bach Flower Remedies Practitioner,
Kim follows the Bach Foundation Code of Practice.
This sets the standards expected
and provides a safe framework
for both the practitioner and the
client. You can contact Kim at
