Cycling and Rowing in aid of
Anthony Nolan Trust
Go and support brave people cycling on
static bikes and rowing their way to fitness
in the January cold weather.
Organised by soldiers, this event will
promote the needs of the Anthony Nolan
Bone Marrow Trust and hopefully raise
funds for them. A donation will be made to
the Army Benevolent Fund as well.

ROH Live - La Bohème (2020)
Puccini’s opera of young love in
19th-century Paris is packed with beautiful
music, including lyrical arias,celebratory
choruses for Act II’s evocation of Christmas
Eve in the Latin Quarter and a poignant final
scene over which the composer wept.

The Cellist / Dances At A Gathering
Cathy Marston has previously been an
Associate Artist of the Royal Opera House
and is much in demand internationally.
The inspiration for her first work is the
momentous life and career of the cellist
Jacqueline du Pre. Jerome Robbins’s
elegant and elegiac classic forms the
second part of the programme. This
exercise in pure dance for five couples, set
to music by Chopin, is a masterpiece of
subtlety and invention.

Dom Joly’s Holiday Snaps - Travel
and Comedy In The Danger Zone
Dom Joly, best known as the creator of
Trigger Happy TV, will be talking about
his exploits as a serial globe-trotting and
seeker of dangerous travel spots. From
North Korea though the Congo and Syria
to Chernobyl, he’s visited some of the most
unusual places on the planet. Joly famously
attended school with Osama Bin Laden
and armed with a trusty Powerpoint, fans
can expect his holiday snaps to provide
comedy and a sense of danger.
