MATERIALS & FINISHES: Cane + Sycamore wood + lacquered mdf (RAL3020).
The Cane is a solid wood sideboard with doors and drawers made with the traditional
canework art. We were looking to create a minimal modern piece of furniture that had
an exotic taste. The cane weaving surface is the spicy element that makes it sublime
in any space it occupies. Modern lifestyle is our inspiration, the cane is perfect to place
music equipment and speakers, allowing you to enjoy the sound with closed doors. Our
approach is always to reinvent, to innovate and to impress using the traditional techniques
in a distinguish way. We modify the ordinary weaving process with the purpose to display
the doors and drawers panels all with the cane texture without an outside frame. This
method allow us to reduce elements on the piece, the main frame is from the sideboard,
that has a thin border with round cuts to open the doors and drawers. The sideboard
is made in sycamore solid wood, the interior shelf and back is coloured , the red confer
contrast with the cane and wood magnifying the modern style.
