ANNOUNCES REASON2RACE
Pick your race, pick your pace and raise funds for teacher grants with
every step. Run or walk with the Katy ISD Education Foundation in the
Katy Half Marathon/5K/1K on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Katy Mills
Mall to raise funds for the Inspiring Imagination teacher grant program.
The Katy ISD Education Foundation celebrated a spectacular milestone
this year with $1,600,000 awarded in its first seven years of Inspiring
Imagination teacher grants. Reason2Race and its proceeds play a key role
in reaching milestones such as this and will continue to garner support as
the foundation’s grant program expands.
Register and join Team Katy ISD Education Foundation, a Katy ISD campus
team or recruit your own team of co-workers and friends. The Katy ISD
Education Foundation has a goal of $60,000 for this year’s Reason2Race.
All proceeds will directly support Inspiring Imagination grants awarded
to teachers in May 2020.

restock the shelves of local food pantries across the nation. Occurring
after the holiday season and before the summer, when the needs are the
greatest and donations typically decline due to so many people traveling.

JOIN US AT THE HOUSTON WING HANGER DANCE
If you want to have a really good time and support a really good cause,
mark your calendar for the Houston Wing Annual Hanger Dance, set
for Saturday, February 22 nd at the West Houston Airport (Hanger B-5).
Dinner and dancing are on tap for the night.
Doors open at 5 PM and a swing dance lesson will take place from 5:30-
6:30 PM. Dinner will be served at 6:15 PM. The band “Third Coast Swing”
will keep the mood festive no doubt.
The CAF is an organization worthy of support, as it is dedicated to
preserving and honoring our military history by keeping historical
airplanes in flying condition. Tickets are only $45 for the dinner and
