Car Stickers: The car stickers are to be placed on the upper corner of
the windshield on the passenger side of your automobile. Please make
note on your “gate access request form” how many stickers are needed
tied to your address. You must take the stickers off and mail them back
to Crest Management when you move from the community or sell the
vehicle. The stickers will not be reused, but this will keep unauthorized
Neighbors: Did you know that you can participate in Crime Watch as
easily as being a “nosy neighbor?” If you have not already done so, talk
to the neighbors next to you, across the street and down the street.
Introduce yourself; get to know them and who lives in the household.
Encourage them to do the same and pledge to watch out for each other.
Don’t hesitate to report suspicious persons to the City of Katy Police or
Fort Bend Co. Sheriffs and don’t assume someone else will do it. Reports
from citizens are the best sources of information for law enforcement.
They can best help us if we help them. Emergencies or crimes in progress
LOCAL DEVELOPER PLEDGES 3-YEAR CONTRIBUTION TO KATY ISD EDUCATION FOUNDATION
Cane Island, home to many parents, grandparents and increasing numbers of Katy ISD students, has joined the corps of Keystone Investors contributing
to the Katy ISD Education Foundation and its Inspiring Imagination teacher grant program. The Foundation’s Investor program allows the community,
both individuals and business leaders like Cane Island, to provide a sound financial platform for Foundation initiatives by committing to three years
or more of support.
Cane Island President Dan Naef joined the Katy ISD Education Foundation for 2019-2020 Inspiring Imagination teacher grant announcements. “It was
one of the most special experiences I’ve had in Katy,” Naef said, “To be present and witness the joy in a teacher’s eyes when they win a grant and to hear
the excitement in their voice, it’s priceless.” Cane Island doesn’t just build homes, it builds community. Naef said, “Nothing says community like taking
care of our children and taking care of the educators who pour into our children.”
The Katy ISD Education Foundation has awarded $1.6 million in its first seven years of Inspiring Imagination teacher grants, impacting students in
classrooms all around the district. Funding for the program is provided in part by long-term investors like Cane Island and annual fundraising events
Fireflies & Foodtrucks and GROOVE. To learn more, contact us at 281-396-6031 or visit www.katyisdeducationfoundation.org.
WE’RE GIRL SCOUTS OF THE USA
We’re 2.5 million strong-more than 1.7 million girls and 750,000 adults
who believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker,
Leader) to change the world. Nationally, our extraordinary journey began
more than 100 years ago with the original G.I.R.L., Juliette Gordon “Daisy”
Low. On March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, she organized the very first
Girl Scout troop and every year since, we’ve honored her vision and legacy,
building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a
better place. Chartered by GSUSA to provide Girl Scouting locally, Girl Scouts
of San Jacinto Council, a United Way agency, is one of the largest Girl Scout
councils in the country serving more than 53,000 girl members and 17,000
adults in 26 southeast Texas counties. We’re the preeminent leadership
development organization for girls and we offer every girl a chance to
practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure and success. To volunteer,
