Dr. Nikki Newton, fluency is like a four-legged stool. The four legs are accuracy, flexibility, efficiency, and automaticity. You<br />

can imagine what happens if one or more legs of the stool is missing! In this online class, we will explore how students work<br />

concretely, pictorially, and finally abstractly to build their addition fluency. Additionally, you will write practice story problems<br />

and anchor charts. You will also have the opportunity to build a math toolkit for yourself, as well as creating toolkits for your<br />

students. Finally, you will build your fluency math workshop activities based on concrete, pictorial, and abstract activities.<br />

Description: Are you Googley? Do you want to be? Did you know that Google has an entire training program where you can<br />

get certified as a Google Educator? This course is online, self-paced, and is meant to get you to earn your Google Educator<br />

Level 1 Certification. In order to receive salary credit, you must pass the Google certification test and submit certificate to Amy<br />

Johnson at ajohnson@parkwayschools.net prior to May 15, <strong>2020</strong>. Access the course by going to Google Classroom at<br />

http://classroom.google.com and entering the code ehudd4.<br />

Take note: 1. Email Amy 48 hours before you plan to take the exam so that we can send you a voucher code to use as payment.<br />

2. Registration for the exam must be done 24 hours in advance of the time you wish to take it.<br />
