MPCA BOARD MEETINGS
The Board of Directors meet in the Memorial Parkway
Clubhouse (21600 Cimarron Parkway) on the first
Tuesday of every month at 7 PM. The meeting is open to
all members of the Association. Members are welcome to
observe the public portion of the meeting and to address
the Board during the ‘Homeowner Forum’ section of the
meeting. The Board is only required by the State to have
ONE meeting per year, but MP has always had monthly
meetings so that they can be more accessible to the
members that they serve. Our monthly Board meeting
will be Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 7 PM.

2020 MAINTENANCE FEES
The 2020 Maintenance Fee of $375, is due by January 1, 2020. Any
account not paid before January 31, 2020 will incur a late fee of $35 on
February 1 st and a finance charge of 10% per month. Payment plans are
available in the office. Plans will consist of 3 monthly payments. There is a
$35 charge to get on a payment plan.
Late Fee Schedule for Unpaid Maintenance Fees
Accounts not paid before January 31, 2020 will incur an additional late fee of $35.
Accounts not paid before February 28, 2020 will incur an additional late fee of $35.
Accounts not paid before March 30, 2020 will incur an additional late fee of $50.
Accounts not paid before April 30, 2020 will incur an additional late fee of $50.
All unpaid fees after January 31, 2020 carry a finance charge of 10% per annum.
Accounts not paid by April 30, 2020 may be turned over for legal pursuit in which all costs are the
responsibility of the delinquent owner. Legal fees can range from $150 to over $2,000.
MPCA DINNER & BINGO
Join your neighbors for a night out at the clubhouse Friday, February 7 th !
We would like you to join us for dinner and bingo! We will serve food at
6:30 PM and begin BINGO at 7 PM. We will play 20 games, which usually
takes about 2 hours. Bingo is for residents over the age of 18 years old.
This is an adult only event and space is limited to 60 people. You may

MPCA LADIES GAME NIGHT
Join us other neighborhood ladies for game night and pot luck. We play
Bunco ($13) and LRC ($3). Bring your favorite dish to share, Thursday,
February 6 th at 6:30 PM in the Memorial Parkway Clubhouse.
Newbies we always love to teach you how to play. Such easy games and
some great prizes, but the fun of getting together for great food and
great new friends is the best part. We play the first Thursday of each
month at the same location and time.

GARAGE SALES
MPCA would like to suggest that garage sales be conducted the first Friday
and Saturday of each month. This will eliminate the many signs that are out
each week and also makes for a stronger turn out. Most area communities
only allow sales twice a year. Memorial Parkway could be known for its
“Once a Month” garage sales. Do not attach your garage sale signs to the
STOP signs, as it is against the law and the County can issue citations for
this. If a sign is on a public right of way, like the esplanades), they may be
subject to fines of $500-$1,000 per occurrence per day. We also ask that
you do not post your signs on the property of another resident. When your
sale is over, please go back and pick up all of your signs.
ARCHITECTURAL CONTROL COMMITTEE
All exterior changes to your property must be submitted to our committee
for approval before you start any work. This includes, but is not limited
to, painting, re-roofing, sheds, patio covers, fences, etc. All requests must
be on our request form that can be found online at our website www.
mphoa.org or at the office. Please give as much detail as possible, so there
is no delay in getting your request reviewed. Except for painting and reroofing,
it would be best to include a plat of your property that shows
property lines and easements in relation to the location of your project.

ANNOUNCES REASON2RACE
Pick your race, pick your pace and raise funds for teacher grants with
every step. Run or walk with the Katy ISD Education Foundation in the
Katy Half Marathon/5K/1K on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Katy Mills
Mall to raise funds for the Inspiring Imagination teacher grant program.
The Katy ISD Education Foundation celebrated a spectacular milestone
this year with $1,600,000 awarded in its first seven years of Inspiring
Imagination teacher grants. Reason2Race and its proceeds play a key role
in reaching milestones such as this and will continue to garner support as
the foundation’s grant program expands.
Register and join Team Katy ISD Education Foundation, a Katy ISD campus
team or recruit your own team of co-workers and friends. The Katy ISD
Education Foundation has a goal of $60,000 for this year’s Reason2Race.

JOIN US AT THE HOUSTON WING HANGER DANCE
If you want to have a really good time and support a really good cause,
mark your calendar for the Houston Wing Annual Hanger Dance, set for
Saturday, February 22 nd at the West Houston Airport (Hanger B-5). Dinner
and dancing are on tap for the night. Doors open at 5 PM and a swing dance
lesson will take place from 5:30-6:30 PM. Dinner will be served at 6:15 PM.
The band “Third Coast Swing” will keep the mood festive no doubt. The
CAF is an organization worthy of support, as it is dedicated to preserving
and honoring our military history by keeping historical airplanes in flying

ANNUAL PLANT SHOW AND SALE, MARCH 7-8, 2020
The Spring Branch African Violet Club will hold their Annual Plant Show
and Sale at the Judson Robinson Jr. Community Center, 2020 Hermann
Drive, Houston, TX 77004. Violets of all types such as standards, miniatures,
semi-miniatures and trailers will be available. Other Gesneriads such as
Episcias and Streps and supplies such as potting soil, pots and fertilizers
will also be featured. Club members will be available to answer general
questions on growing African Violets.
