Overview

The Lobuche peak consists of two different summits, Lobuche

East (6,119 m/ 20,075 ft) and Lobuche West (6,145m/ 20,160

ft). The East Peak is recognized as a Trekking peak, whereas

the West is known as an Expedition Peak because Lobuche

West is more challenging and technical than Lobuche East or

other trekking peak in Khumbu Region.

Things to Know -:

The Lobuche East peak is climbed far more frequently than the West

peak

Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyalzen Sherpa made the first ascent to

Lobuche East on 25 April 1984 although there are possibilities that

others have reached the summit before. But no records are available.

Lobuche peak is also spelt as Lobuje


Best Time to Climb Lobuche Peak

Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are

considered as the ideal seasons to scale Lobuche peak. People

still attempt climbing during December, January and February to

avoid the crowd but it takes some extra effort to make it on these

months.

Lobuche Peak Climbing Difficulty

This adventure is designed especially for dedicated & strongwilled

trekkers or climbers who have ability to walk in snows

ridges. At times, high altitude sickness could be an issue but

with slower gradual ascends you can beat Altitude sickness.
