Sunblock
White/Black PE laterals and Microtubes
Sunblock is the white and bright shining outside surface of Meteor Systems
internal black PE laterals and microtubes. Sunblock reflects most of the heat
energy from the solar light.
The conversion of the radiated solar energy into heat is a main disadvantage of the
commonly used black PE laterals and microtubes. All over the world in regions with
high solar light levels, the increase of the water tempurature is out of control in
black colored PE laterals and microtubes.
The feature of the Sunblock laterals and microtubes is the reflection of most of
the heat energy from the solar light, resulting in a lower and more constant water
tempurature to the plants during the irrigation cycles. In addition the growth of any
organic matter is reduced to the extent of virtually eliminating blockages.
As a result of 7 years of research, development and field tests, in countries
with high levels and duration of solar radiation, all standard sized laterals and
microtubes are available in the Sunblock White/Black version. Outside diameters
from 5mm to 40mm.
