GETTING THE WORD OUT<br />
�e need has never been greater for �n<strong>an</strong>cial support for<br />
students. Why? PCC has received 35,000 requests for �n<strong>an</strong>cial<br />
aid th<strong>is</strong> fall term alone, as compared to 31,000 requests during<br />
the entire 2008-09 school year!<br />
As part of a pl<strong>an</strong> to meet th<strong>is</strong> increasing dem<strong>an</strong>d, the<br />
PCC Foundation has stepped up its communication e�orts by<br />
adopting a new br<strong>an</strong>d that identi�es key messages, presents a<br />
vibr<strong>an</strong>t new look <strong>an</strong>d emphasizes the Foundation’s m<strong>is</strong>sion of<br />
creating <strong>opportunity</strong> for students.<br />
�e PCC Foundation Board chose to adopt the new br<strong>an</strong>d<br />
after careful consideration about the goals <strong>an</strong>d future of the<br />
org<strong>an</strong>ization. “�e new br<strong>an</strong>d suggests that we have exp<strong>an</strong>ded<br />
our goals <strong>an</strong>d are energetic in pl<strong>an</strong>s to achieve them,” said PCC<br />
Foundation Board President Betty Duvall. “We’re working<br />
from the solid base of the past toward a new future.”<br />
In May, the PCC Foundation’s new br<strong>an</strong>d was launched at a<br />
reception preceding the Annual Scholarship B<strong>an</strong>quet. More<br />
th<strong>an</strong> 200 of the Foundation’s President’s Club members were in<br />
attend<strong>an</strong>ce. Surrounded by the faces of scholarship winners <strong>an</strong>d<br />
graphic d<strong>is</strong>plays representing the new PCC Foundation, donors<br />
had a ch<strong>an</strong>ce to meet one <strong>an</strong>other <strong>an</strong>d share their common<br />
passion for creating accessible education for all.<br />
With these new tools of communication in h<strong>an</strong>d, the<br />
PCC Foundation <strong>is</strong> well on its way to providing accessible<br />
education to all quali�ed students.<br />
