Adventure Island

Adventure Island is an amusement park located

alongside the famous pier in Southend-on-Sea,

Essex, which has a variety of rides, as well as

attractions including a gift shop and catering

outlets. The theme park features a number of

thrilling rides including some for children. If your

group is 20 or more and you book and pay at

least 10 days prior to your visit, you qualify for the

The cemetery contains the remains of 3,812 of

military dead; 5,127 names are recorded on the

Tablets of the Missing. Rosettes mark the names

of those since recovered and identified. There

is a 4,000-square-foot visitor centre. Through

interpretive exhibits that incorporate personal

stories, photographs, films, and interactive

displays, visitors will gain a better understanding

of this critical campaign that contributed to the

Allied victory in Europe during World War II.
