Dear Church Family,<br />
Psalm 1 says they are blessed who delight in the Law of the Lord, who meditate upon his law day and<br />
night. "They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves<br />
do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper."<br />
The Bible not only teaches us how to be forgiven our sins and have a relationship with God that is the very<br />
substance of eternal life.<br />
The Bible ALSO teaches us how to live wise and healthy lives. It teaches us principles that help us to<br />
prosper in the the here and now.<br />
I'm very excited about two upcoming opportunities that our church is offering to the community to help<br />
individuals and families prosper.<br />
The first is the John Rosemond parenting seminar on March 1st. Dr. Rosemond is a 'parenting guru' who<br />
has written numerous books on child-rearing. He is also a committed Christian who believes that Biblical<br />
principles provide us a solid foundation for healthy parenting. He will preach in the morning services and<br />
the seminar will be from 2-5:30 in the afternoon.<br />
Please RSVP if you are planning to come.<br />
The second opportunity I am excited for us to offer to our community is Dave Ramsey's "Financial Peace<br />
University" (FPU). FPU teaches people how to get out of debt, create a budget, and build a stronger<br />
financial future using principles and wisdom taught in the Bible. FPU will be taught during the Sunday<br />
School hour beginning March 8th. Let us know if you want to attend.<br />
We are a church that cares about the people and families of our community, and these two opportunities are<br />
practical ways we can help the people of our community to grow and prosper based on Biblical principles.<br />
I hope you will spread the news about these offerings to others who can benefit from them.<br />
