It’s so important towrite down what God tells you because God is not obligatedto repeat Himself and while He may if you ask, it is alwaysbest to honor Him and His Presence in your prayer time bywriting down what He says – trust me you will want to lookback at what He tells you later.In the section entitled Answers, remember to write down youranswers. While the whole process of journaling your prayersis important, the answers give you confidence that God hearsand answers your prayers. The answers also provide atestimony you can share with others and this testimony canhelp build the faith of someone else who may need the exactthing God did for you. I’ve included blank lined pages in theback of the book in case you need more room to write. Don’tforget the date. It is important to chronicle how and whenGod moves so you don’t forget.One more thing, as I was writing this a scene came to mindfrom an episode of one of my favorite TV shows, The FreshPrince of Bel-Air. The episode is called “Love Hurts” and inthe episode, Will is out on a date with his girlfriend Lisa at abowling alley. While Will is taking his turn bowling, a manapproaches Lisa with the intent of asking her out. Will, ofcourse, says something to him and a fight ensues. Well, theguy punches Will and knocks him to the ground. Afterward,Lisa hits the guy and knocks him out. When Will gets up, hesays to Lisa, “what was that?” She explained that she tookself-defense classes. The lines I want to point out to you arethese:
Lisa: “… you were on the Floor!”Will: “That’s how I fight!”While that episode and show have nothing to do with prayer,it is how we need to fight, on the floor, humble and submittedto God’s will. We must remember that our fight is not withour families, our friends, our co-workers – our fight is with theenemy (the devil) and how we fight is in prayer! We fight onour knees, walking the floor, stretched out laying prostrate;however, we need to fight the enemy in prayer and we don’tstop, we don’t relent and we do not, do not, DO NOT GIVEUP!Are you ready for this fight? Good! Let’s do it!God Bless You Prayer Warrior!
