THE BUSINESS PROCESS - NO.11
Setbacks and comebacks seemed to have been in
fashion these past two years and boy was I trending!
Since 11 is my favorite number I believe it is fitting
to share a little story about how eleven issues of
The Roaring Trade Magazine surfaced in this tough
economy.
Let me start with a few hard truths:
STARTUP BUSINESSES HAVE IT DOWN RIGHT TOUGH!
The first hurdle - you’re a new kid on the block, noone
knows you well enough to trust your product
or service so they hesitate to support you - totally
understandable. Then, out of the blue stems aggressive
competition which scares the pants off you (until
you realize there’s enough pie to go around). As if that
was not scary enough, you suddenly notice flaws in
your business which plant doubt in your mind and just
when you thought things couldn’t get any crazier you
deal with a force that’s beyond your control. #SHOOK!
This is a vicious cycle. All this doubt yet you’re still in
the running to become a successful entrepreneur!
EVERY SINGLE THING is in your control even those
battles that seem impossible to conquer.
To those smart hustlers, starting from scratch - what I
just mentioned is pretty much the norm (apparently)!
Compiling eleven valuable issues took a lot of time,
passion, finance and creativity (all of which are essential
elements required to travel on this journey). However, it’s
never-ending and can be stressful. It can actually
become an obsession and balancing a strike sometimes
seems far-fetched BUT it is rewarding, it is your
own and it is your chance to forge your own destiny and
build the empire you’ve dreamed of.
It may not seem that way when you’re facing difficult
times but these are situations which strengthen your
character and construct a mindset to become a better
leader.
Entrepreneurship is not for softies, not for those who
wear their heart on their sleeves.
Of course I am guilty of having this quality. It took me
time to realize that emotions and entrepreneurship
DO NOT go hand in hand. So if you want to reach
success timeously you will have to leave your comfort
zone.

The business owner path is long and
windy. It makes you uncomfortable
more often than not, but these
hurdles that you so often stumble
upon are stepping stones that make
you smarter, wiser and tougher in
the business world.
If I learned anything in this journey it
would be that IT IS WORTH IT!
Thank you to a good few setbacks
which attracted stronger comebacks
we were able to surface eleven
mind-blowing issues.
