Brandon Festival of the Arts is very grateful to the individuals, organizations, and

businesses that contribute to the scholarship program in our Festival. This support

encourages outstanding performers in their pursuit of excellence. Please note:

Some scholarships have not been confirmed at time of printing, and amounts or

donors may change by Awards Nights. Some scholarships may not be awarded.

GENERAL

Brandon University President’s Festival of the Arts Scholarship

Brandon University provides a full-tuition scholarship for one year to a full-time student

entering Brandon University as a full-time Music student in September. The scholarship,

whose approximate value is $4,500, will be awarded to a student who delivers an outstanding

performance during the Brandon Festival of the Arts. Application forms are

available on the website (www.brandonfestivalofthearts.ca), under the tab “Our Festival”,

followed by “Scholarships”.

Kaye and G.R. Rowe Memorial Music & Dance Scholarship $600

First place in the Music & Dance competition

Donor: The Festival Trust

The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is pleased to provide an instrumental or vocal winner

of the Kaye & G.R. Rowe Memorial Scholarship in Music & Dance the opportunity to

perform a solo work with the orchestra. Repertoire and concert date will be selected in

mutual agreement with the WSO. The winner will receive coaching in preparation for

the performance.
