W H E R E W E A R E N O WDear Friends,It is an honor and pleasure to present reGeneration Education’s 2019 Annual Report. With humility and profoundgratitude, we are pleased to report that this past year has been a remarkable one of service, connection, building, andrebuilding.Right before the start of 2019, the President and Founder of reGeneration Education, Shepha Vainstein, lost her homeof 40 years in Southern California's Woolsey Fire. The devastation left by the fire brought home in the most personalway the challenges faced by families in crisis zones. It is our deepest wish that we harness the lessons learned from theWoolsey Fire to serve children in crisis zones better and build a foundation for peace.With that in mind, we continue to deepen our relationships with our partner schools in Israel and Palestine and findways to increase the number of Jewish, Christian, and Muslim children who benefit from trauma-informed educationin the Middle East. We are also disseminating these best practices cultivated around the globe by rolling out traumainformedteacher training for Los Angeles-area educators.On the domestic front, reGeneration Education very successfully launched the Los Angeles Abrahamic Faith StudentLeadership program with local Jewish, Christian, and Muslim middle school students. Inspired by shared Abrahamicteachings of altruism, these students are developing new friendships while working together to address the growingproblem of homelessness in Los Angeles.At reGeneration, we promote a culture of peace through community building and fostering resilient children in crisiszones. Enclosed in this report, you will see details of our many activities and accomplishments. We encourage you toreview these materials thoroughly.
