TRAINING CRISIS-ZONE
READY TEACHERS
In 2019, reGeneration made history by uniting
professors at David Yellin Academic College in
Israel with Palestinian educators in the West
Bank. Together, they designed a cross-border
teacher training for communities lacking access
to culturally competent and trauma-informed
teaching styles.
reGeneration also worked to cross-pollinate
teaching best practices around the globe. In Los
Angeles, reGeneration is implementing the
United Nations endorsed Essence of Learning
training program. Essence of Learning trains
teachers who work with students growing up in
crisis zones. Teachers are informed of the
traumatic experiences their students face and
how to respond with compassionate
educational methods so that children thrive in
the classroom.

Thanks to reGeneration's support,
Nadia is receiving on the job Waldorf
teacher training.
