aviation parts on display. All those who have been
actively supportive of the project, especially Reg
Rogers, were thanked and the dedication event was
appreciated by all those attending.
The engraved plaque will, over the coming days, be
attached to the stone plinth in its location on Roddy
Lane.

ST ANDREW’S CHURCH
Looking ahead to Easter, there will be services on
Palm Sunday, during Holy Week, on Good Friday and
on Easter Sunday.
Palm Sunday, April 5th 11am - a family service to
celebrate Palm Sunday.
Holy Week: Short Reflective Services lasting
around 25 minutes, all in church:
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday: 6pm for about 20
minutes: Enchantment: seeing God around us: at 6pm
on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Each will have a
5 minute reflection offered by someone with very
particular experience: Amanda Maundrell, Michael
Brunson and a third to be announced.
Tuesday, Wednesday and Maundy Thursday: 8pm in
candle light for about 20 minute: Mindfulness and
Meditation. Calming and de-stressing in this holiest of
weeks.
Maundy Thursday: 6pm: a short and simple service
of communion or agape.
Good Friday: a service of reflection at 10.30am.
Easter Sunday 11am: Easter Communion – an
opportunity to celebrate Easter for all the family.

Safari Supper: Saturday April 18th
By popular request we‟ve been asked to organise
another Safari Supper, on the Saturday after Easter.
We‟re not surprised - it‟s such a lovely way of meeting
folk, eating lovely food, and getting to know those we
might not so often see around the village. Please sign up
with Lou Shone (01328 830962) or Fiona Newton
(01328 830947), (fionanewton46@gmail.com). The
cost will be £10 and we shall begin at 7pm in church. If
you fancy offering to host a main course for 6 or 8, or a
pud course for 6 or 8, do say. All welcome.

BEREAVEMENT GROUP
It is an odd kind of joy when one who has been
living with the trauma of loss, can say to the others in
the Bereavement Group something like: „I think I‟m in a
different place now and can look ahead…but thank you
so much for the understanding and support‟.
You probably know someone who is trudging
through the awfulness of loss. Do remind them of our
group. There is just one meeting this time on Friday 1st
May at Manor Farm Cottage at 4pm. What is said by the
fireside stays by the fireside, and this enables fears and
worries to be freely expressed. But don‟t get me wrong,
peals of laughter can ring out too, as unbelievably funny
moments are also shared. That‟s why healing takes
place - people in the group listen carefully and nurture
one another. It‟s a special place, inhabited by brave men
and women.

FIELD DALLING AND SAXLINGHAM
VILLAGE FETE 2020
Saturday 8 th August, 2pm
This will be held on Saturday 8th August from 2-
4pm at the Villagers‟ Hall, Field Dalling.
A traditional fete for all age groups with entertaining
music by the Norfolk Jazz Quartet.
