All generations have. The earth turns and we with her, desperate for warmth, light and growth. The world endures many a thousand horrors, most of man‟s devising, but the world itself is neutral. If we are good stewards by and large we will be rewarded, if bad... But bad we are. Animals, birds, fish, and all the rest, cannot sin. We can and we do. The Almighty Lord God, the Creator had a way to deal with that. He put on flesh and gave up His Life, so that wretched man might Live. Humanity is supremely special to God. We are made in His image, but are flawed. In Christ there is the invitation to be made flawless. No more cover-up, no more make-up. Flawless. Christians live in the light of Christ, in the consequence of self-less Sacrifice, in the deepest power of Love. 3 This is from the end of the Gospel according to Saint John, his account of the great turnaround. It was written in everyday Greek, the day-to-day language of the eastern Mediterranean. Chapter 20 verses 11 to 17: “But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping: and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked into the sepulchre, And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain. And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Jesus saith unto her, Mary.
