A nalyzing real estate statistics in a market as diverse as<br />

<strong>Healdsburg</strong> can present certain challenges.<br />

When a sampling is relatively small, to take the pulse of the<br />

overall health of a market, I rely on both Unit and Dollar<br />

volumes. As we adjust to what appears to be a new direction for<br />

us, those two statistics tell us how we are doing overall.<br />

What is presented here is the activity between February 28,<br />

<strong>2020</strong> and <strong>March</strong> 31, <strong>2020</strong> and compares it the same period last<br />

year. Further, it is broken down into the price segments of:<br />

Up to $500,000<br />

$500,001-$1,000,000<br />

$1,000,001-$2,000,000<br />

<br />

$2,000,001 and over<br />

This is our first few weeks of our new reality. The rules<br />

governing how real estate is to be conducted are evolving<br />

almost delay. Since the stay-at-home order took effect, no<br />

physical showings of properties were permitted. As of April 1,<br />

under certain conditions, showings of vacant homes are<br />

permitted. (Follow link below to learn more.) Given that, the<br />

statistic that stands out to me is that eight homes have gone<br />

into contract since the stay-at-home order was put in place.<br />

To put some perspective on the numbers presented here, this<br />

same period in 2009 saw 3 sales with a total dollar volume of a<br />

little over $2,000,000.<br />
