What makes a good leaflet?

A good leaflet is o ne th at m akes peopl e want to pick it lip a nd

read it.

So it must look good.

* TIT L E AND HEADI NGS - give your leaflet an eye-catching ti tle;

break the text into short sections with appropriate headings.

* TEXT - short and light; avoid very heavy, com p lex sente nces a nd

lon g blocks of prose.

* LETTERING - headings and titles shou ld he BIG and attractive.

* LAYO UT - shou ld he vi sual. Lists can he present ed in colum ns,

w ith items either numbered or marked, as here, with a n asterisk.

Making notes and writing

4 Decid e on the order of the secti ons.

5 Think of a good title (01' do this at the end - but leave spacel).

6 Write.

7 Check and revi se. If you hav e tim e, rewrite.
