Nouns<br />
The words we use for people, places and things are<br />
called nouns.<br />
1. Read the story below.<br />
The boy on the beach looked at the surfers on the waves and<br />
wished he could surf, too. Then he saw … a fin! Could it be …<br />
a shark? He stared, scared, and was about to scream ‘SHARK!’<br />
when he saw the head of a dolphin pop out of the water. Phew!<br />
It was just a dolphin! But, after that, he decided maybe surfing<br />
wasn’t so great after all!<br />
2. Highlight or colour the words in the story that are nouns.<br />
3. Write them in the table under the correct heading.<br />
