1. Christian I GILL was born on 6 Jan 1772 in Alt Sorg, Prussia. He was the original owner Farm #88 which
had a total of 58 hectares (143 acres) in 1814 in Tarutino, Bessarabia. He married Anna Elisabetha Erdmann on
5 May 1815 in Tarutino, Bessarabia. He appeared on the census of 1 Apr 1835 in Tarutino. He appeared on the
census of 15 Sep 1850 in Tarutino. He died on 3 Mar 1854 in Tarutino, Bessarabia, at age 82. He appeared on
the census of 17 Jan 1859 in Tarutino, Bessarabia, as having been the father of the then current residence.

Justina Klaundt immigrated in 1877 to Jakobstal, Bessarabia. He immigrated on 30 Apr 1894 to New York,
NY. He immigrated in 1902 to Irvine District, North West Territories (Alberta), along with his wife and family.
He appeared on the census of 12 Jul 1906 in Irvine, AB. He and Justina Klaundt retired in 1917 in Medicine
Hat, AB. He died on 2 May 1944 in Medicine Hat, AB, at age 90. He was buried on 4 May 1944 in Medicine
Hat, AB.

5. Daniel GILL (Christian, Samuel, Christian) was born on 22 Nov 1878 in Tarutino, Bessarabia. He
immigrated in 1902 to the district of Irvine, Northwest Territories (Alberta). On 27 Jun 1902 Daniel entered his
homestead located on the SW 16, Twp 10, Rg 3, W4. He married Magdalena Ohlhausen, daughter of Gustav
Wilhelm 'William' Ohlhausen and Luise 'Louisa' Tetzlaff, on 14 Jul 1904 in Irvine, NWT (Alberta). On 18 Jun
1906 Daniel was given title to his homestead land located at SW Sec16, Twp 10, Rg 3, W4, AB.
Daniel and his family appeared on the census of 12 Jul 1906 in the district of Irvine, AB and was naturalized
and became a British subject in the Dominion of Canada in 1908. On the 1 June 1911 census the Daniel family
indicated their 'religion' as 'Dreamer'. Dreamer was a sect originating in South Dakota in 1905 and migrated to
the Medicine Hat/Irvine and Josephsburg area of Alberta a few years later. Although this sect was originally
based on Christianity, their beliefs reached a stage of fanaticism where arson or perjury became acts in
fulfillment of their biblical destiny. Dreams were supposed to dictate their actions.

In 1917 Daniel sold their homestead farm to Henry Olhausen and moved to a farm 15 miles east of Olds, SW2-
33-27-W4 (the Mayton district), Alberta. After Magdelena died in 1927, he married Mrs. Wunch who had been
living with him as a house keeper along with her four daughters, one being Anna who married David. They were
divorced in 1938 at which time she took their daughter 'Inis' and her unmarried girls to live in the USA. In 1958
Daniel moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta, and lived with his brother Emanuel close enough so that the two
brothers could walk to the German church. He died on 12 Mar 1963 in Medicine Hat, AB, at age 84. He was
buried on 16 Mar 1963 in Medicine Hat, AB.

1929. He died on 21 Jul 1932 in his farm in the Mayton district, AB. He was

6. Alfred GILL (Daniel, Christian, Samuel, Christian) was born on 2 May 1905 in Irvine, AB. He married Ida
'Edith' Reule, daughter of John Reule and Christina Schmierer, at Daniel's farm on 26 Dec 1925 in Mayton, AB,
and farmed in the district for the next 30 years. In 1955 Alfred purchased land and built a new house in north of
Olds, AB. He retired in 1969 to Penticton, BC. In Sep 1973 Alfred and Ida returned to Red Deer, AB. He died
on 13 Dec 1992 in Olds, AB, at age 87. He was buried on 18 Dec 1992 in Olds, AB.
Children of Alfred Gill and Ida 'Edith' Reule were as follows:
i. Evelyn was born in Jan 1927 in Mayton, AB. She died in Oct 1928 in Mayton, AB,

7. Othniel 'Neil' GILL (Daniel, Christian, Samuel, Christian) was born on 3 Feb 1909 in Irvine, AB. He

Othniel 'Neil' and Martha retired to Penticton, BC. He died on 6 Jul 1987 in Calgary, AB, at age 78. He was

8. Kaleb GILL (Daniel, Christian, Samuel, Christian) was born on 1 Jan 1912 in Medicine Hat, AB. He
married Elsie Edna Maetche on 31 May 1934 in Olds, AB, and farmed east of Olds for the next 25 years. On 31
Dec 1957 Kaleb semi-retired to Penticton, BC, where he managed an apartment building. Kaleb and Elsie
moved to Calgary, AB, on 1 Sep 1986. He died on 15 Nov 1994 in Calgary, AB, at age 82. He was buried on
18 Nov 1994 in Queens Park cemetery, Calgary, AB.
