As a responsibleemployer they wanted toensure they improved theiroverall awareness whilstadhering to a strict trainingbudget.BRIEF Engage workforce in conversations about mental health andthe importance of these. Improve overall knowledge of mental health conditions.SOLUTIONSWe hosted one of their team on a 2 day Mental Health First Aidercourse where the team member could return to the team andcascade knowledge.The organisation supported this by enrolling the team on thee-learning Level 1 foundation course in the first half of theirbudget year and they are utilising our support packs that includegreat ideas for team communication to keep the training andideas live throughout the whole year.They use the Mental Health First Aider to deliver quick fire5 minute talks on a monthly basis and use a whiteboard topromote a monthly wellbeing theme.The Mental Health First Aiders are also part of a small taskforcethat monitors overall mental health in the organisation and canprovide ‘flags’ if there are any issues.CASE STUDY TWOORGANISATIONMulti site business operationINDUSTRYLeisure and retailSIZE50 – some working remotelySUMMARYWe worked with a complexdiverse arts, leisure andretail business to delivertraining across their variousteams. The challenge was toengage a range of differentemployees, some on verylow hour contracts, somevolunteers and some whowere on placements.BRIEFEngage with whole team and deliver increased mental healthknowledge.Deliver bitesize solutions for volunteers and remote workers.SOLUTIONSWe delivered a whole team briefing in a couple of evening slotsto the whole staff with quickfire Q&A to help develop a base ofknowledge.We mopped up with a recorded webinar session and a digitalQ&A for those unable to attend.Four individuals joined our Mental Health First Aider courses sothey could lead on in-house programmes.We delivered a short management seminar to provide guidanceto senior leaders on ensuring monthly meetings included asection on good mental health behaviours.
