REMINDER: ASSESSMENTS 

WERE DUE JANUARY 1ST 

We encourage each of our homeowners to pay promptly as the cost to 

the homeowner for collection begins mounting on February 1, 2020. If 

you would like to establish a payment plan you can contact the onsite 

community manager on/or after February 3, 2020, at 281-213-3184 and/ 

or send an email to Angela Rivera at angela.rivera@associa.us. Keep in 

mind the terms of the payment plan agreement include a $20 monthly 

payment plan fee and your association’s monthly interest. Please pay your 

assessments on time to prevent from receiving late fees and/or interest

As soon as possible. For your future reference you can always pay ahead

POLITE PARKING 

Several complaints have been received about visitors leaving their 

vehicles parked for extended periods of time. Please ask your visitors to 

park in your driveway or at least in front of your property, leaving your 

neighbors room for their visitors to park or to pass through with their 

vehicles. 

DEED RESTRICTION VIOLATIONS 

BY PMG OF HOUSTON MANAGEMENT 

Trash bins need to be out of view from the street. That means you cannot 

have your trash bins on the driveway, side of home or behind columns 

in front of garage door. You will get a letter and if you don’t comply we 

will send you to the attorney just for this trash bin violation and you will 

receive the attorney charge on your account. Please move your trash bins 

out of view from the street. 

BARKING DOG PROBLEM: 

• The best way is to call the Constable office to make a noise complaint. 24 

dispatches number 281-376-3472. 

• Call from outside when the dogs are barking. 

• Request from the operator who answers the phone exactly what to ask 

for on a formal noise complaint. 

• Tell them you would like to meet the constable to a make a formal 

complaint. 

• The best way is to talk to your neighbor, but if you don’t feel comfortable 

call the Constable’s office. 

ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW PROCESS 

The Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions (CC&R’s) as well other 

legally binding documents, are provided to homeowners prior to 

closing on a house. Please read the guidelines before submitting your 

Architectural Control Committee application. You can receive a copy 

online on TownSq www.cypressmillhoa.com under documents or you 

can call your community manager Angela at 281-213-3184 and/or email 

angela.rivera@associa.us to request a form. All application can take up 

to 30 business day before an approval or denial is correspondent to a 

homeowner. 

RESIDENTS OF CYPRESS MILL: 

Having your lawn cut either by yourself or a hired landscaper please don’t 

put out your grass clippings out on the sidewalk until trash days, Monday 

or Thursdays. We are getting complaints of homeowners putting out 

grass clippings before trash days. We thank you for your understanding 

and corporation. 

SWEEPING OR BLOWING DEBRIS 

INTO STORM DRAINS 

According to Herman L. Sanders of the Harris County Watershed 

Protection Group, “Sweeping grass, leaves, grass clippings, yard waste, 

etc., into a storm drain is cited as a civil solid-waste violation of State 

Municipal Solid Waste rules, Chapter 330.15 (a)(1). Civil penalties are $50 

to $25,000 per day per violation. Criminal penalties, if pursued, are $500 

to $100,000 per day per violation.” 

NOTICE: FITNESS ROOM USAGE 

No one under 18 years of age is allowed in the fitness room at any time. 

If you are found in the fitness room your access card will be deactivated 

and you will have to come in front of the Board of Directors to discuss 

reactivating card. Please comply with the rules. 

TREE TRIM 

It’s that time of the year, “tree trimming.” Please be courteous and trim up 

your trees. For those fellow neighbors who walk the community as well 

for school buses, vehicles and emergency personal to have a clearance 

of tree limbs on sidewalks and streets. Please review your CC&R of the 

clearance height in your section.

Please do not purchase from solicitors and ask them to leave our 

neighborhood. Although it is difficult to enforce this violation we 

can work together to keep this activity at a minimum. Please contact

Developing a Consistent Maintenance Schedule 

By doing some simple preventative maintenance, you can extend the life 

of your home and minimize costly repairs. 

Painting - It is important to put a good coat of paint on your home which 

may mean painting every three to five years on an average, depending 

on the quality of the paint. Painting obviously improves the appearance 

of your home and protects your wood or hardiplank from the elements 

reducing rot. Don’t forget your ACC application along with paint color 

samples, which must be processed and approved first! 

Power washing - Take a walk around your property. If you see green or 

black mildew on your home and driveway, you can power wash the 

mildew off your gutters, home exterior, driveway and sidewalk. This small 

step of maintenance can keep your property looking well maintained. 

Gutters - Gutters need to be cleaned out on a regular basis. This time of 

year they fill up with pine needles and leaves. If the gutters are full of 

leaves and pine needles, they will not drain properly and will need to be 

cleaned. The extra weight will cause the gutter nails to become loose and 

the gutter will sag or fall from your home. Gutters are important as they 

protect the fascia boards. 

Landscaping - Trees, shrubs and seasonal flowers add a great deal to 

the value of your home and the community. Remember that over time 

trees and shrubs can become overgrown and unsightly. Please keep 

your landscaping well-trimmed and yard edged so that it enhances your 

home and does not interfere with the street.

With the Stay Home - Work Safe Mandate through the end of April, the 

Foundation has decided to postpone the B. F. Adam Golf Classic until 

the COVID-19 risk is minimal within our community for the safety of our 

288 golfers and over 100 volunteers, trustees and staff, who help make 

this event a tremendous success, as well as the staff at BlackHorse Golf 

Club. Our 33 rd annual B. F. Adam Golf Class has been moved to Monday, 

November 16, 2020. 

Celebrating 50 years as a non-profit raising money to fund scholarships

Take a ride with us for an exciting week of VBS, July 13 th -17 th ! Early

this year is Rocky Railway; Jesus’ Power Pulls us Through. In addition, we’ll 

be having Armored Sports come in again this year for after VBS fun! 

From 12-4 PM, Armored Sports will run a Bible based sports camp. The 

participants will play fun games like dodgeball, kickball, capture the flag, 

and games revolving around basketball, soccer and more! The cost in 

addition to VBS is $115 if registered before June 1 st and $125 if registered

A.D. PLAYERS AND ACADEMY SUMMER CAMP 2020 

The Academy plans to begin our Summer Camp 2020 “Fun Under the

Camp Hope is a day camp that is passionate about growing leaders.

stories to life! iWRITE was founded ten years ago by children’s author,

build their writing skills and boost their creative confidence through all 

kinds of writing programs and publishing opportunities. This summer 

young writers can learn straight from the pros! 

The iWRITE summer camps and workshops will be held in June and July 

in the Cypress, Spring Branch and Ft. Bend areas with opportunities for 

kids ages 8 to 16 years old. Students will learn character development 

skills that can be used in all types of writing, how authors brainstorm and 

turn ideas into a story, how illustrators bring characters to life through 

art, fun editing techniques and even how to get your work published.

JUNE IS NATIONAL CAMPING MONTH 

National Camping Month in June is an excellent time to pack up 

your gear and experience nature. Whether you like roughing it or 

prefer to have a few modern conveniences when heading out to 

the trail, it’s important to keep a few things in mind: 

1. Make sure you have plenty of fresh water or a fresh water source. 

2. Take a first aid kit and that it is stocked. 

3. Pack waterproof matches. 

4. Take non-perishable food such as granola bars, jerky, peanut 

butter, chocolate bars and dried fruits, especially if you are not 

taking a cooler. 

5. Pack fruits, vegetables and meats separately and keep chilled 

in a cooler. 

6. Include sunblock, even for cloudy days. 

7. Rain gear, jackets and blankets are necessary for cooler weather. 

Around the country, there are a variety of campsites available. 

The more modern campsite includes showers and recreational 

facilities. These often include water hookups and parking pads for 

RVs and campers and cabins to rent as well as more primitive sites 

with no electrical hookups designed for tent usage. Other parks 

only allow primitive camping and require everything you pack 

into the park to be packed out. So, seriously consider your needs 

if you are hiking into the park for your stay. These are not for the 

glampers. 

Gather family and friends, don’t forget the s’mores supply and 

go camping! Nature is calling and there are so many ways to 

enjoy a weekend or even more camping. National Camping
