I. Cy-Fair Community Relations Committee
• Provide written recommendations to the Board • Assist with building
relationship with the Cy-Fair ISD transportation department • Suggest solutions
for school bus drop off and pick up • Provide suggestions for articles for the
monthly newsletters and email blasts • Other duties as assigned by the Board
II. Landscape Committee
• Provide written recommendations to the Board • Periodic review and
evaluation of landscape managed areas • Assist with Yard of the Month
and Holiday Yard contests • Provide suggestions for articles for the monthly
newsletters and email blasts • Other duties as assigned by the Board
III. Social Committee
• Provide written recommendations to the Board • Suggest ideas for
community events and functions to the Events Coordinator • Assist and
support community events • Submit a one-year proposal for activities,
events, etc. for consideration • Include Welcome Committee functions to
incorporate the Section Leaders • Provide suggestions for articles for the
monthly newsletters and email blasts • Other duties as assigned by the Board
COMMUNITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
Start getting your teams together for our Community Golf Tournament
open to residents and their guests! Community Golf Tournament:
Monday, September 21 st at Sterling Country Club. Registration at 8 AM
with 9 AM Shotgun. We will be playing the private “Sterling Course!” Only
$45 per player if RSVP by Monday, September 14 th , $55 per player if
RSVP after September 14 th . CHECK or MONEY ORDER ONLY. Tournament
pricing includes breakfast, two non-alcoholic beverages during play,
cart fee, lunch, prizes and more! Tournament format will be a 4-person
scramble with a shotgun start. ONLY ONE person on the team must be
a resident of S-G Owners Association. Thank you to Jackie Horton and
The Connell Team with Better Homes and Gardens Gary Greene for your
sponsorship! Advanced reservations are required. Please contact Melinda

SWIMMING, BOATING OR FISHING in the LAKES.

Please respect the posted traffic speeds and stop signs in our community.
They are here to make our community a safe and pleasant place to live.
With the pleasant weather, our children are out enjoying our amenities.
Use extra caution when driving near our parks and community pools.
Please also use the correct side of the gates for entry and exit.
PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE DUCKS AND GEESE
This seemingly generous act, in fact, can be extremely harmful. Bread
and similar products such as crackers, chips, doughnuts and popcorn
have little nutritional value. Without healthy food and proper nutrition
the ducks and geese will quickly succumb to disease and death. Feeding
ducks and geese can lead to the following problems as well:
• Duckling malnutrition - in areas where ducks are regularly fed bread
the ducklings will not receive adequate nutrition for proper growth and
development.
• Overcrowding - Where food is easy to come by, ducks and other waterfowl
will lay more eggs and the pond or lake will become overcrowded. This
makes it more difficult for the birds to seek out healthier food sources
and increases territorial aggression, especially during mating season. It
will also cause ducks to cross busy streets in search of food.
• Pollution - What happens to all that bread that is not eaten? It causes
algae growths, pollution and can eventually eradicate fish and other life
in the vicinity.
• Diseases - A diet rich in carbohydrates leads to greater fecal production
and bird feces easily harbors bacteria responsible for numerous diseases
including avian botulism.
• Attraction of pests - Rotting leftover food attracts other unwelcome
pests such as rats, mice and insects. These pests can also harbor additional
diseases that can be dangerous to humans.

Residents with a Registered EZ Tag:
• Enter through far right lane. • Gate Attendant will open the gate in the
event that the EZ Tag barrier arm does not read your EZ Tag. You can
contact the Gate Attendant by pressing #0001 on the call box at all remote
gates. Please register your EZ Tag at your clubhouse office. The Onsite
Manager will assign your EZ Tag to the entrance gate in accordance with
the section you reside in (you will not have access to all gates, only the
one for the section you live in).
Residents with an “SG” Decal Sticker (must be displayed on top left corner
of windshield): • Enter through middle lane at the man gated sections.
Gate House check-in NOT Required. (Gate Attendant will open gate) If
you need an “SG” decal sticker, please visit your local clubhouse office.
Residents without an “SG” Decal Sticker: • Enter through far-left lane
at the man gated sections. Gate House check-in is required. • The Gate
House Attendant will require your valid Texas Driver’s License or Texas
State ID to verify residency. • Gate Attendant will record name and license
plate. If you are new to the community, show your current Valid Driver’s
License or State Issued Photo ID and give the Gate Attendant your new
Stone Gate/Canyon Lakes West address. Gate Attendant will also record
name and license plate.
Visitors:
• Enter through far-left lane at the man gated sections. Gate House checkin
is required. The Gate House Attendant will require you to present a
valid Driver’s License or State ID
