The Endeleo Institute is deeply committed
to restoring and preserving the cultural
relevance of promoting economic
development along the historic US Route
12/20 Highway (aka the 95th Street
Corridor), where during The Great
Migration (1915-1970) significantly large
numbers of African Americans settled in
the Washington Heights/Greater Roseland
Area in Chicago, Illinois.

As a military family, we moved to new
locales more than a dozen times before my
husband retired. Whenever we relocated,
the local Main Street was always our first
stop. It’s where we could meet people,
find out what goods and services were
available, and learn about town events.

Our organization has focused on the
innovations that small businesses could
use but may not have access to. By
consolidating community support, we
launched our holiday light show with laser
projections and our mobile app that
highlights local events, all to keep our
business district lively and competitive.
