and crosses a green metal bridge. Bear left and<br />

follow Dean Brook into Dean Wood, staying on the<br />

right-hand side of the brook for ½ mile until you<br />

reach the two bridges – one wood and one metal/<br />

concrete. <strong>St</strong>ay to the right at this point and you will<br />

climb out of the wood via some steep slate steps.<br />

Once you are out of the woods turn left around<br />

the field and you will reach a wide dirt track called<br />

Whitley Road. Turn left and follow this track 1/3 mile<br />

to the junction with Lafford Lane. Turn right up the<br />

hill, go past Jollies ‘ith Dean and take the footpath<br />
