of UV-C and ozone
UV-C light generates / produces ozone (O 3) in connection with the
natural oxygen (O 2) content in the air; this happens in the same
way as with sun rays. By using this method no harmful nitrogen
oxides (NOX) are created.

Ozone has the ability to combine with organic substances in the
air such as Nicotine, and the ozone oxidizes these. Thereby the
bacteria, vira and spores present in the air are being eliminated.
During the cleaning process the odour air in the room is being
sucked into the Ozone Cleaning system, and it passes the special
HBC lamp. In connection with this, the treated and disinfected air
is being led back to the room with an ozone residue.

Ozone can be produced with either high
voltage or with UV-C technology as is the case
with the OZONE air cleaning generator.
While many high voltage ozone generators
claim to produce up to 10000 mg/h. it’s highly
doubtful. That equates to over 5,000 ppm.
Listeria and salmonella are killed at 10 ppm.
The thing is, when you produce ozone with
high voltage you always produce nitrogen
oxides. Nitrogen oxides (mainly NO and NO2),
or NOx, is the generic term for a group of highly
reactive gases.
Nitrogen oxides are
dangerous to humans but
also short term damaging to
any plastic, leather or fabric
materials you see in car
interiors or furniture.
Also when measuring ozone output, the
detection systems can’t distinguish between
NOx and ozone. This means you will see
an inflated output full of dangerous NOx
gasses.
