COMMAND
Seaman Dax Vines lays chain out as other
crewmembers scrape clean the red buoy
aboard the Coast Guard cutter CYPRESS in
the Gulf of Mexico. The CYPRESS operates
primarily along 900 miles of the Gulf Coast,
from Apalachicola, FL, to the Mexican border
in Brownsville, TX, where she is responsible
for the maintenance of 117 fl oating aids to
navigation.
