In his new role, he will help to<br />

drive the Group’s long-term<br />

strategy, aligning the go-tomarket,<br />

digital and customer<br />

and supplier centric activities<br />

across the globe. He will<br />

continue to lead the EMEA<br />

region until a new EMEA<br />

president has been appointed.<br />

Kern<br />

David Cox has<br />

joined Kern<br />

to take up the<br />

newly created<br />

post of UK head<br />

of sales. This role has been<br />

created to strengthen the<br />

company’s position in the UK<br />

market and to capitalise on<br />

recent product additions.<br />

At Kern he will be responsible<br />

for driving sales of mailing,<br />

smart locker and packaging<br />

solutions across the UK.<br />

has re-joined<br />

years after her<br />

first tenure,<br />

this time as customer centre<br />

co-ordinator to manage the<br />

new training and test facility.<br />

Accraply<br />

Justin Stovall<br />

has been<br />

appointed vice<br />

president of<br />

sales at Barry-<br />

Wehmiller company Accraply<br />

to oversee all global sales<br />

and business development<br />

activities. He joined the group<br />

company Synerlink in 2015<br />

then had a stint at BW Flexible<br />

Systems before joining Accraply.<br />

Luke Hill has<br />

joined MDS<br />

as its newest<br />

field-based<br />

service engineer<br />

to boost the growing sales<br />

and service divisions at<br />

the company. Based in<br />

Birmingham, he brings<br />

over ten years of experience<br />

of biometric engineering<br />

solutions to the team and is<br />

now also Ceia trained and<br />

certified. “I’ve always been<br />

impressed by the quality and<br />

design of Ceia’s detectors and<br />

so I decided I had to go for it<br />

when the chance came up,”<br />

he tells <strong>Machinery</strong> <strong>Update</strong>.<br />

aftermarket<br />

& services manager to bolster<br />

the aftermarket experience<br />

for the company’s global<br />

customer base. He will focus<br />

on further boosting standards<br />

in customer care from troubleshooting<br />

technical issues to<br />

providing solution upgrades.<br />

is the new sales<br />

engineer for the<br />

North of England<br />

at RA Rodriguez<br />

to help meet the growing<br />

demand for its range of products<br />

and brings technical sales<br />

and business development<br />

experience to the role.<br />

Loma Systems<br />

Ivor Milne has<br />

joined Loma<br />

Systems as a<br />

new regional<br />

sales manager<br />

for Scotland. Previously, he<br />

was a sales engineer<br />

at Markem-Imaje UK.<br />

Jan Glass has<br />

succeeded<br />

Dr Juergen<br />

Kuske as chief<br />

financial officer<br />

of the Optima Group while at<br />

the same time, taking over the<br />

management of the central<br />

departments at the company.<br />

This industrial engineer<br />

joined Optima in 2016 and has<br />

held a variety of management<br />

positions since to give him<br />

insight into the company.<br />

Tom<br />

Tomlinson, son<br />

of owner and<br />

founder of WMH<br />

John Tomlinson,<br />

is the new managing director<br />

of the company from <strong>July</strong>.<br />

He has been working at the<br />

firm for eight years and is<br />

keen to ensure it continues<br />

to develop its capabilities<br />

in meeting the demands for<br />

automation in the food and<br />

pharmaceutical industries.<br />

His engineering and logistics<br />

background will help him<br />

retain the firm’s core values.<br />

John will remain on hand to<br />

support the business.<br />

Interroll<br />

Urs Tanner<br />

will step down<br />

as chairman<br />

of the board<br />

of directors at<br />

Interroll at the end of his term<br />

of office next year but he will<br />

remain on the board for one<br />

more year as planned.<br />

Paul Zumbühl,<br />

has been the<br />

Group’s ceo<br />

since 2000 and<br />

has delivered<br />

the successful expansion<br />

plans during his 20 year<br />

tenure. In 2021, he will step<br />

down as ceo and take over<br />

as the new chairman of the<br />

board of directors.<br />

Nick Hornsey is<br />

a new software<br />

engineer in the<br />

engineering<br />

team at CKF<br />

Systems to meet the growing<br />

demand for the company’s<br />

automation solutions.<br />

He has an engineering degree<br />

in robotics and joins CKF<br />

from a cobot specialist.<br />

Jennifer<br />

Halliday has<br />

joined the<br />

company as<br />

marketing<br />

manager tasked with bringing<br />

a new focus to its marketing<br />

efforts and also to raise the<br />

profile of the CKF brand.<br />

Flexicon<br />

Peter<br />

Kalinovski has<br />

been named<br />

regional sales<br />

manager of the<br />

new Flexicon (Europe) office<br />

in Germany which has been<br />

opened to provide factorydirect<br />

engineering services<br />

and technical sales support<br />

to customers throughout<br />

Germany. He brings five<br />

years of packaging industry<br />

experience to the role.<br />

Nielsen McAllister<br />

Nielsen<br />

McAllister,<br />

PR agency for<br />

the packaging<br />

and print<br />

sectors boasting many PPMA<br />

members as clients,<br />

is currently celebrating its<br />

30th anniversary. Based<br />

in Derby, the agency was<br />

founded by current managing<br />

director Bob Bushby in 1990,<br />

at a time when Margaret<br />

Thatcher was still Prime<br />

Minister and a Mars Bar cost<br />

just 27p. The seven-strong<br />

team has enjoyed a virtual<br />

birthday party online during<br />

lockdown to celebrate.
