Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi
Wabarakatuh and Greetings,
All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the
Worlds. Peace and blessings of Allah be
upon our Prophet Muhammad and on his
family and companions, and all those who
follow him in righteousness.
Time is rapidly encroaching with less than
a month left in the countdown to the
BIT 2011. As tickets are now being sold,
preparations in terms of performances
and the setup of the Indoor Stadium at
the Hassanal Bolkiah Sports Complex
are well underway, we are just as excited
as you are in the anticipation for the
performances that will be presented by
participating countries. A salute goes
to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces for
the celebration of its 50th Anniversary
of its establishment. We are especially
proud to present bands and performances
from Brunei Darussalam, Australia, the
People’s Republic of China, the Republic of

Indonesia, Malaysia, the Islamic Republic
of Pakistan, the Republic of Philippines,
the Republic of Singapore, the Kingdom
of Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the
United States of America.
The BIT 2011, offers an exciting
spectacular pageantry and stirring family
entertainment, while also providing a
unique opportunity for our local bands
to showcase their talents and tradition.
The participation of bands from other
countries aims to enhance the connection
of our local bands to the international
community as it honours the virtues of
military service in general and the tradition
that represents the highest accountability
and commitment of a citizen to their
community at home and across the world
for many years to come.
Of course, it would be impossible to present
the BIT 2011 without the generosity of
our official partners, corporate sponsors,
individual donors and volunteers. We are
most grateful for their support.
