As most of you would k<strong>now</strong>, I was previously employed <strong>at</strong> the<br />
<strong>Club</strong> and am very excited to again be a part of the <strong>Club</strong>, which is<br />
such an important part of the B<strong>at</strong>hurst community. I would like to take this<br />
opportunity to thank all of our members and staff for their kind words welcoming<br />
me back to the <strong>Club</strong>. Although we face some challenges moving forward, as do all<br />
<strong>Club</strong>s, we are in a solid position financially, providing a strong pl<strong>at</strong>form for future<br />
growth and development of our facilities and services. I am particularly excited <strong>at</strong><br />
the opportunity to play a key role in taking our <strong>Club</strong> forward, whilst remembering<br />
the traditions upon which we were founded.<br />
Being the April edition of the Bugle, Anzac Day will soon be upon us. This is<br />
obviously a very important day for the <strong>Club</strong>, when we pay homage to the ANZAC<br />
spirit, and remember those who served, and those who gave their lives. You will be<br />
able to find inform<strong>at</strong>ion on all the services in the B<strong>at</strong>hurst region throughout the<br />
day on page 6 of this magazine.<br />
Be sure to check out all the gre<strong>at</strong> entertainment coming up in the next couple of<br />
months, particularly our Mother’s Day Lunch and show “Buble & the Legends of<br />
Swing” on Sunday 13th May, which promises to be an afternoon of gre<strong>at</strong> food and<br />
gre<strong>at</strong> music.<br />
I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter break and am looking<br />
forward to seeing many of you around the <strong>Club</strong>.<br />
