© Anthony Trollope Horses Recent Competition Highlights 16 • Canadian Eventing Media Guide J e n n i f e r Irwin Long Listed Birthplace: Birthdate: Hometown: Guelph, Ontario February 9, 1972 Hornby, Ontario Originally from Guelph, Ontario, Jennifer Irwin fi rst began eventing with the Grand River Pony Club. When she was 18, her grandparents surprised her with her fi rst horse, Power Surge. In 1997, the pair were the OHTA Intermediate Horse and Rider of the Year, and fi nished 35th at the CCI** Radnor Hunt Three Day Event. Jennifer was Short Listed for the fi rst time following a 25th place fi nish at the 1999 CCI*** Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event. She is now Long Listed with Rangitiki, who she began riding for owners Donald and Anita Lechied in 2003, based on her placing at the 2005 CCI** Bromont International Three Day Event. Jennifer also enjoyed a successful 2005 season competing at the preliminary level with Skies Above. Based out of Long Lane Farms, Jennifer is an active trainer and coach. Since 2002, she has acted as the Assistant Coach to the Ontario Team at the North American Young Riders’ Championship. Jennifer is also an artist, and enjoys following the thoroughbred racing industry. © Cealy Tetley Horses Paris II 1997 brown selle francais gelding, 16.3hh Owner: Christine Stiller Recent Competition Highlights K e l l i McMullen-Temple Short Listed Birthplace: Birthdate: Hometown: Columbus, Ohio October 25, 1960 Round Hill, Virginia With Canadian-U.S. dual citizenship, Kelli began riding for Canada in 1995 and has been an asset to the Team ever since. The only Canadian rider to qualify two horses for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, Kelli placed fi fth in the team competition with Kilkenny and 18th in the individual with Amsterdam. Kelli and Kilkenny were also members of the Canadian Team at the 1997 European Open Championships at Burghley. Her long-time partnership with Kilkenny also resulted in a fourteenth place fi nish at the 2000 CCI*** Blenheim International Three Day Event in Great Britain. Kelli recently enjoyed a second place fi nish at the 2005 CCI** Foxhall Cup riding Paris and the pair then traveled to Scotland to fi nish ninth at the CCI*** Bowmore Blair Castle International. Also known as a successful coach, Kelli’s students have won both Individual and Team Gold Medals on numerous occasions at the North American Young Riders’ Championships.
