RM4,000,000) paid by the investment banking subsidiary for a portion of the tax credits in connection with the acquisition of the business of
Taiping Securities Sdn. Bhd. (Special Administrators Appointed), now known as Taiping Recovery Sdn. Bhd. (In liquidation) in a prior financial
year. Details of the tax credits scheme are disclosed in note 39 to the financial statements.
