DID YOU KNOW...
At the beginning of the 18th century,
the Swedish naturalist Carl Linnaeus
planted the first flower clock
in the Botanical Garden in Uppsala,
Sweden. He created a round flower
bed divided into 12 parts. The whole
thing was based on the characteristic
hours of opening and closing of petals
for different types of flowers, so you
could determine the time of day just
by looking at the garden. If you do not
have this type of garden, wall clocks
also work well.
