The Mine Shaft Tavern
The Mine Shaft Tavern brings in fresh live crawfish from
the organic rice fields outside of Beaumont, TX. If you love
Louisiana and Texas foods, put this event on your calendar.
In addition to boiled crawfish, crawfish corn pie, crawfish
boudain, green chile blue crab cakes, Gulf Shrimp
(boiled and fried), chicken and sausage gumbo, Texas BBQ
Ribs, brisket and smoked pork are available.
There are three live soundstages during the festival - inside
the historic Mine Shaft Tavern, theMine Shaft Cantina’s
Deck and the main stage at the Madrid Railyard Amphitheater.
Madrid, New Mexico is an historic coal mining town
along the Turquoise Trail (NM Hwy 14) about 30 miles
south of Santa Fe (or Eldorado at Santa Fe). The neighboring
village of Cerrillos is an ancient turquoise mining area
with mining activity going back hundreds of years to native
explorations.

The Eldorado Arts and Crafts Association presents the 27th
annual Eldorado Studio Tour, May 19-20, 2018, with an
Opening Reception at the Preview Gallery on Friday, May 18,
from 5pm to 7pm, located at the Max Coll Community Center
at 16 Avenida Torreon. The Preview Gallery will be open from
from 9am to 5pm, both days. The open studios are from 10am
to 5pm.
The largest Studio Tour in New Mexico, the Eldorado Studio
Tour features the work of approximately 99 artists showing and
selling their art in their own studios. The artistry encompasses
myriad styles, media and techniques—surely something to appeal
to all visitors and art collectors.
