I remember a particular problem I had <strong>in</strong> Plateau, I had nobody to help me <strong>in</strong> meditation and reconciliation, sort<strong>in</strong>g out the age-long problem, then I called him. The claimants (The Saraki family) through Asa Investments Limited), had requested for a stay of proceed<strong>in</strong>gs on the matter pend<strong>in</strong>g the determ<strong>in</strong>ation of an appeal it filed at the Appeal Court, Ilor<strong>in</strong> aga<strong>in</strong>st the August like it or not, short or long; sooner or later, we have to depart. My prayer is that the life of peace he had lived and the peace that descended <strong>in</strong> Zazzau Emirate dur<strong>in</strong>g his reign may cont<strong>in</strong>ue to pervade the Emirate, Kaduna State and the whole of Nigeria.” Also at the prayer were the Chairman of Nigerian Governors’ Forum and Ekiti State governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and Chairman, Northern Governors Forum, Governor Simon Lalong of Plateau State. It was attended by the governors of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai; Abubakar Bello of Niger State and Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State. Many emirs were also <strong>in</strong> attendance. Governor Fayemi said they were there on behalf of Nigerian governors to pay their respect and condolences to the citizens of Zazzau and Kaduna State. On his part, Governor Lalong, said he was represent<strong>in</strong>g the Northern Governors who were supposed to be at the prayers, say<strong>in</strong>g “The late emir was a father to all <strong>in</strong> Nigeria and Africa and his loss was a great loss to all,” he said. 6, 2020 rul<strong>in</strong>g of the trial court.
