Okowa's determined to complete Asaba
Leisure Park, Film Village —Ejiofor

Culture and Tourism, Mr.
Lawrence Ejiofor has
restated the commitment of
the Governor Ifeanyi
Okowa's led Government to
the completion of the Asaba
Leisure Park and Film
Village, saying it would set
the government on strong
revenue generation scheme.
Speaking in Asaba during
a press briefing to
commemorate the World
Tourism Day with the theme
"Tourism and Rural
Development", Ejiofor
stressed the importance of
Tourism, adding that it was
a means of revenue
generation for government.
He said when completed,
the Asaba Leisure Park and
Film Village would take a
lot ofyouths off the streets,
saying "the movie industry
in Nigeria is growing and
we are going to attract these
movie Producers through
the standard film village".
He held that interested
Deltans were also going to
be trained in all forms of
cinematography as part of
the State Government's
human capital development
effort.
Lamenting the effect of the
pandemic on global
economy, he noted that
tourism was capable of
increasing income potential
of local residents.

the governor's victory was
a manifestation of his
