Diocese of Abeokuta, Most
Rev. Dr. Peter Odetoyinbo,
has advocated for more
enduring policies that will
assist Nigerians to cope
after the COVID-19
pandemic.
Odetoyinbo, who made

Justice Development and
Peace Movement, JDPM,
on the effects of coronavirus,
advocated for people
oriented welfarist approach
to cushion the effect of the
pandemic on the masses.
He equally called on
government at all level to
urgently look into ways to

petitions in 20 years —ICPC

offences Commission, ICPC, has
disclosed that it has treated over
20,000 petitions since it was
established 20 years ago.
This is as the Commission’s
office in Osogbo presented prizes
to students who emerged among
the best five in its National Essay
competition to mark its 20th
anniversary.
Speaking during the
presentation of prizes at its
Government Reservation Area
office in Osogbo, the State
Commissioner, Baba Alaro
Shuaib, who spoke on behalf of
the commission’s Chairman,
Professor Bolaji Owasanoye, said
over 5000 of the petitions were
investigated while over 1000
cases are at different stages of
trials in courts across the country.
During the same period, he
added that assets worth billions
of naira have been recovered,
forfeited and restrained including
cash, landed property and
vehicles.

Chairman, Chief Kola
Jamodu, explained that
the operations of
NUTRICIMA in some
respects integrated with
those of the PZ Cussons
Nigeria, as land assets,
used by NUTRICIMA for
its operations, is owned by
PZ Cussons Nigeria.
He briefed the shareholders
of the benefits derivable from the
sale of the immovable assets.
This included an increase in the
retained earnings of PZ
Cussons ‘by unlocking value in
the company’s real property
assets’.
