OPPOSITION
WORCESTER RAIDERS
RESERVES
Worcester Raiders were formed
in 2001 as a youth club, joining
the Worcester & District
Football League in 2009 upon
the formation of a senior side. In 2013, Worcester Raiders
joined the West Midlands (Regional) League Division Two,
achieving promotion in their first season in the league
system. In 2019, they gained promotion to the Premier
Division as Division One champions. Raiders first team
entered the FA Vase for the first time in 2020–21. In late
July 2020, English Premiership rugby union club Worcester
Warriors
confirmed
that
Worcester
Raiders
would move
into Sixways
Stadium,
with
Warriors' co-owners Colin Goldring and Jason Whittingham
becoming joint majority owners of Worcester Raiders in the
process. Prior to the move, Worcester Raiders played at
7
Claines Lane and Nunery Wood Sports Complex, where the
reserves now play their home games. Raiders Reserves have
been in the West
Midlands Regional
League Division
Two since last
season. Under
manager Glen
Sitch, the young
Raiders will be
looking to
develop and push
into their strong first team. Having lost to Shawbury United
u23s in their first league game and suffering a 3-0 deficit to
Bredon in the Worcester Saturday Junior Cup, Worcester
will be looking to bounce back and pick up some points.
