West Midlands Regional League Division Two (Step 8) from the 19 th

OPPOSITION
SHAWBURY UNITED U23S
Originally from Shawbury, near
Shrewsbury, but currently based in
Ludlow, Shropshire, Shawbury United were formed in 1992.
They started out playing in the Shrewsbury and Shropshire
Alliance Division Two. They swiftly progressed up the
divisions, winning a number of local cups along the way,
and in 1999-00 the club were rewarded with admission to
the West Midlands Regional League, initially in Division One
North. In 2000–01 they were promoted to the Premier
Division, and then to the Midland Football League in 2016,
before rejoining the West Midlands Regional League in
2018. United are currently playing at the Ludlow Stadium,
but have future plans to build a new ground back home in
Shawbury. Their under 23s side are newly formed and have
started with a win and two defeats in their Division Two
campaign.
